Tyre Noise OR road noise
I have a 2020 Polo Match. The one thing I dislike is the road noise transmitted through to the cabin. In the south west, the road surfaces are rough. I have tried various brands/types of supposed 'quiet' tyres - but no appreciable differences. Has anyone tried various sound deadening efforts with a ...

Iv'e altered my dash readout by accident
Hi Guys playing around with the menues - I changed one of the readouts in the centre of the dash - not by choice! It always confirmed which phone was connected. Now it shows which radio station is currently in use. Any hints as to how I can return to phone detail would be appreciated. I have tried s...

Re: Your experiences of VW extended warranty.
Hi DACA
as I feared - the 'extended warranty' promises much but delivers little. Anyone else able to offer their experiences of 'extended warranty'?

Your experiences of VW extended warranty.
Hi there have just received a follow up letter to advise that Polo warranty expires soon. This promises the moon if I take up the extended warranty option. I have had previously via the skoda forum heard related experiences of the skoda extended warranty, which frankly (seemingly) was not worth the ...

Re: tyre size
Having run both size tyres mentioned above, I would say there is virtually no difference in performance, BUT, there is a most notable difference in road noise. My 2016 Polo Match has 185x60x15 tyres (continental) and certainly does not lack grip. Fronts will soon be changed to Michelin Cross Climate...

Re: What tyres?
Hi everyone - thanks for your input. Will certainly stay with 185x60x15's - have found these to be less noisy than my previous 195x55x15's on a fabia. There is no difference to handling between the two, and I will not be tempted to go wider. Currently I have conti's (original equipment) - these I ha...

What tyres?
My 2016 Polo (on 185x60x15) will shortly need some new tyres.
I would be grateful to learn others view/ experiences with Michelin Energy - which is my first choice/favourite at the moment.

Re: Bluetooth / Mobile phone query.
At last - think I may have cracked it. I did find a previous old phone I had long forgotten (LG KE970 Shine) and charged this up and transferred the SIM card. I then did the required setup, and all was well. Every-time I now get into the car the phone is recognised and automatically continues to com...

Re: Bluetooth / Mobile phone query.
Many thanks for your response Gaza 1994 My Samsung C3050 does not show a window as you have illustrated (I cannot find device details anywhere). When I highlight the VW entry, and drop down the 'options' - the only near thing is the ability to 'connect' I believe I can find (on the car) an entry to ...

Re: Bluetooth / Mobile phone query.
I spoke too soon - still have problems To make the story a short one, the main problem is the inability of the contacts list to show on the car system. Everything else is working OK. The appearance of the contacts list is erratic - it might show on the odd occasion, however most times it is missing....

Re: Bluetooth / Mobile phone query.
Hi Ricmondo
following your post - I decided to follow your hint, and again explored my phones bluetooth properties. Found the entry 'authorise' - ticked this and all is now well.
Get into car and everything is completely automatic
Thanks for your response.

Bluetooth / Mobile phone query.
I have a 2016 Polo Match. A friend has a similar car. When he gets in his, the phone goes through the motions and completes connection with no further action needed. When I get in mine, it all happens - then 'automatically connecting' appears on the dash screen - but final connection is delayed unti...
