Re: BlueGT strange noise
That was my first thought initially. I checked the other ones, they have about 6mm tread and there’s no sign of sawtoothing. When I had them balanced and realigned they were already bang on. I’m wondering if it’s a wheel bearing starting to go, but I thought that might be noisier. The noise is white...

BlueGT strange noise
Hi, wondering if anyone can help me identify the strange noise coming from my BlueGT. It’s a 17 plate with 64k miles and I changed from my 15” winters to 17” summers a few weeks ago. I thought the car seemed noisier but put it down to the larger wheels. There has been a strange droning/almost rumbli...

Highest mileage Petrol 6r/6c
Hi, has anyone here done very high mileages in their petrol 6r/6c, 120k miles +? If so what problems have you had with things stopping working, overall reliability? I’m due to change my Polo in a few months but I’m not seeing anything else that floats my boat. I’m getting 50mpg, pay £20 road tax and...

Re: 1.4 tsi ACT clutch torque limit
So if the 1.8 gti manual is 320Nm, and I planned to remap my 1.4 to 300-310Nm, it should be ok...?

Re: 1.4 tsi ACT clutch torque limit
Thanks, I thought the gearbox was the MQ350, but I’m wondering if the clutch is rated the same or if it’s the same clutch used in the 1.8 gti manual?

1.4 tsi ACT clutch torque limit
Hi, does anyone know the maximum torque limit of the OEM clutch in the 1.4 Tsi act MT? I know the car puts out 250Nm, but is the clutch at its limit with this output?

BlueGT spongy brakes
In the last week I’ve noticed my brakes feel more spongy and there is more pedal travel. They were always quite positive before, but they’re definitely mushier now. It’s been to a mechanic, and the pads and ducks are absolutely fine and there’s nothing obviously wrong and no ABS fault codes. He test...

BlueGT dampers
Hello, does anyone know if the BlueGT is equipped with twin tube or monotube dampers as standard? Also, has anyone tried running their car in Bilstein B4’s, and if so, was there any discernible difference in ride quality and handling?
