Re: Adaptive Cruise Control

Hi,
On my car, there is no option, the only way to turn ACC on/off is from the steering wheel button

Re: Front Assist?

when reversing, manoeuvre braking is the one that slams on your brakes if your parking sensors find that you are too close to something. should be in the parking settings in the infotainment if you want to switch that off.

Re: Recall - rear seat belt

Just a heads up, current UK owners can check their recall status here: https://www.check-mot.service.gov.uk/ I've got mine since July but not received any communications from VW via post or from my dealership regarding the seat belt issue. Just looked on there today and bam! There is a recall ongoing.

Re: Car-net (or lack of)

It's VW's fault for all the confusion. So VW calls the Android Auto, Apple Carplay and MirrorLink functions as CarNet AppConnect. With this function, no registration on the website is required, it's all plug and play, device, usb cable and voila it all works. Then there's the CarNet Guide & Info...

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!

I'm intrigued that there are many who seem to have problems with their new polos on here. I've had mine for about 5-6 weeks now, travelled about 1700 mi and thankfully no problems noted so far. I've checked the wipers and no juddering on them, no random reboots or crashes on the infotainment system ...

Re: Current Lead Times?

Regarding the headlamp washers, if you ordered a car that had that on the brochure at the time, how would you stand if it arrived without them, would they just say that the spec has changed and there's nothing we can do about it? Mine has it on the brochure I got with the car, I emailed the salespe...

Re: LED vs Standard Headlights DRL Question

Ha! Looks like my dealer was misinformed or just plain fibbing there regarding the bumper LEDs. They told me it's disabled in the software but just seems a bit strange as @silverhairs mentioned that cost-cutting VW would not just install it to the car and then leave it disabled. Just wish they'd jus...

Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery

Right, so for LEDs at night, they are really bright. For someone who's moved from regular halogens to LEDs, it's a big step up in terms of brightness and also the length of the beam that illuminates the road ahead. Pardon my bad smartphone camera, couldn't do a proper front shot as the camera would ...

Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery

First pics up now. First impressions with the car are excellent. With regards to the cheap plastic sides on doors, didn't find it a bother at all as my hands were not resting on it but overall, build quality seems good so far. IMG_0058.JPG 20180720.jpg I like how the colour actually changes through ...

Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery

Will post up pics after handover tomorrow :D
To date I've only seen ONE Reef Blue and TWO Energetic Oranges running around down here in Devon. Most stock cars at the dealers here are silver or black. I guess the folk down here are more conservative in colour choices?

Will keep y'all updated

Re: VW app taking the p**s!

Got an email from my dealer regarding the PDI so yeah my car is definitely in already. Strangely enough, if you load the tracker page and press stop before it fully loads, you can enter your tracking number into the box and search for it.

Re: VW app taking the p**s!

Just had a live chat with VW since the tracker is down. Elbe Highway just docked in Sheerness today from Emden. Should be BW21 cars as mine was on it. Not long now, just waiting for my dealer to get it collected now.

Re: Ports used by VW South Africa

Mine was a BW21 car. The tracker changed from building to transit in BW22 but VW could not track where my car was for a few weeks until now
