Interesting! We have exactly the same problem with our 2011 Polo! I thought it was something to do with the previous owner as we bought this otherwise immaculate car, with only 21k miles. I’ve seen this rarely on other cars and only with 100k miles or more.

2011 Polo SEL 1.4 DSG

For some reason, engine seems to pull better and is smoother with Shell V-power. Wife notices the difference with the car when I fill up with V-power vs regular unleaded.
It would still be nice to have more power - has anyone found a remap or tune to help this engine?
