Goodby it's been great

Hi everyone, Just a note to say goodbye. I've had the lastest Polo beats since feb 18, it's been great discussing the latest issues, trial tribulations. Keeping an eye on what problem was going to crop next. I've had the recalls, the faulty info screen, the clinking breaks, the wind noise at high sp...

Re: RON - 1.0 litre turbo Polo ?

I agree, my beats hates anything that isn't premium. I have mate with a Mustang ecoboost and he can't believe that my piddly little 1 ltr has to run on premium. I say that because the TSI it's a better engine 🤣. I find that it's a tad louder and gruffer sounding and slower acceleration on normal fue...

Re: Heated Door Mirrors

Yup, then forget you've turned the knob to that setting and have the heated mirrors on forever more. :D It's a pretty archaic method, TBH. A push button with a warning light would be better, or just link it to the heated rear screen - I can't think of a scenario where I've had them on seperately. C...

Little flap in grill

Hi peeps,
Has anyone noticed the little flap in the left side of grill. When the bonnet is up you can see it to the left of the air intake. No idea what it's for .

I'm surprised they are in breaker's as still quite new model. Watch out for the pixel line that's affecting screens, I'm on my 2nd screen at present.

Re: How to find state of charge of battery?

A very good point - I think that I put the one for my wife's Polo in a very safe place! Edit:- the OP was looking for a SoC reading, that is just a current/present voltage reading from a battery being charged by the alternator. I was just about to say that, thanks :D I have the VW connect dongle th...

Re: Brake Clunk when coming to a complete stop

Yep same issue , sound is rather loud and embarrassing. Dealer has said on 3 occasions it's normal. How it's normal on a new car is beyond me! But I'm living with the clonk now.

The vw connect app provides the info as long as you have the single thing provided by the garage

Re: Steaming up windows on my GTI

I've been given a pingi for Christmas, think a family member has been reading the forum !, Its only been a few days and it has made a massive difference. On the subject of dampness, I have looked at the seals etc and cannot see anything obvious apart from rain water sitting in the arches in both the...

Re: Crack / Line on Infortainment Screen

I had this issue 4 weeks ago, on a 7 month old polo beats. Stopped at petrol station filled up started the car and the line appeared. Tried full reset thinking it may be software glitch but didn't fix it. Dealer took a look and has since ordered and fitted new screen no questions or hassle from them...

Re: 10 months thoughts and niggles

Thanks all. Just a note to say cars 1.00 TSI and has 5800 on the clock. I'll keep an eye on the oil but it seems I'm not alone as a recent long-term car review has had similar Oil use issue.
