Re: My users review of the 1.0ltr 3 pot TSI 116

My GTi is proving to be just as fuel efficient as my 1.0TSI. Depends how you drive both cars, how long your commute is, and how congested that route is. Like for like in every situation, the 1.0TSI will outdo the 2.0TSI, but not by a lot (around 10-15%). Mike's mpg figures are extraordinary because...

My users review of the 1.0ltr 3 pot TSI 116

1.0ltr engine set at 116HP This seems to be an economical little engine, it is quiet does not seem to use much oil. I check it once a week and once every couple of months I am putting a small amount of oil in to just top up. On economy I have checked my long term and it reads 50.3MPG over 18,389 mil...

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!

ok booked service for 25th as I say its the second service. I should be between 19000 and 19700 miles. Cars been warning me of a late service for a couple of weeks now. I changed all 4 tyres to Michelin Cross climates + about 2 weeks ago. The cabin noise is discernibly lower now. I also did a 53 mil...

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!

I have had my polo 15 months now and I am on 17385 miles. I am getting close to my second service I assume this is the so called big service? the first service I had back in jan at 8,800miles I am told the service is every 10k miles. so I am thinking the second service should not be until 20k miles ...

Re: 1.0 TSI - 115ps remap to 150ps

... having said that I understand every car loses 1 x HP per year? is that correct? ... Please, let's not bring this forum to level of urban myths and legends. No... a car does not loose 1 hp per year. Chill out there, LOL I got it from Top gear where they tested 3 old card they brought against the...

Re: 1.0 TSI - 115ps remap to 150ps

I will consider a remap when my car is out of normal warrantee that's 3 years I think. I wont push it to 150HP but I do like the thought of 130, just 14HP more than factory 116hp. having said that I understand every car loses 1 x HP per year? is that correct? if it is I will actually be getting 127...

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!

I've had my SE for two weeks and whilst is does have two small niggles, I'm really enjoying driving it. VW have spent money on the right areas of the car, quality leather and soft touch plastics - shame it didn't extend to door capping too, but you can't have everything. Tech is just great, infotai...

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!

I have just been driving a Citroen 3 for a 4 hour round trip. it was derv manual and very spongy. I got into my POLO and realised what a great car the Polo really is. sturdy, well planted on the road, agile and just a class place to be for my drive home. Thank you Citroen for making me realise just ...

Re: Build week 36 for My Polo GTI +

Fingers crossed our cars get here before the brexit tax will come in. I’m assuming if the cars reach us before 1st November we won’t have to pay the tariff which is looking to be 10.5 %. If it does get added will they add it to my PCP repayments or expect a lump sum? I’m completely in the dark over...

Re: Polo GTi 316bhp

Yea nice idea and for a technical test its impressive. but for everyday ownership I think IF I wanted 350BHP I would turn to the golf R and have done with it. At least you know the whole car is designed to cope with the power. stage 1 mods On the Polo (once warrantee is passed) seems ok, but TBH I ...

Re: Build week 36 for My Polo GTI +

Last week in august I think, so its 2 weeks to manufacture an load to a ship then 6 weeks to get into the uk. so you are looking at in the UK end Oct and with you first or second week in Nov. To be fare I have seen some on here get the car a week or so earlier than that.
