UPDATE: Today replaced the DPF differential pressure sensor and cleared the DTCs. After DTC clearing the engine shake / shudder on idle disappeared. All lamps on dash off. Took a 7 min trip. So far so good. Ordered 4x refurbished injectors and will replace all before doing remapping the ECU to +HP. ...

Hi. It's not too hard of a job. Replace the cylinder and the cylinder seal (rubber ring). What might be tricky is putting the rubber boot/dust cover round the cylinder and caliper seating... Next time you service the brakes, spray same WD40 around the rubber seal and under it, so that you won't nick...

Tried today on my 1.6 TDI - revs stay the same. No change at all.
Maybe TDIs work differently than TSI.

Will change the filter first and see if that fixes the issue. Definitely easier than the Oil pressure switch

Thank you both for replying so quick. I forgot to mention that the previous owner said that the "mechanic" who did the oil change, told him that it is a faulty oil pressure switch. Given that he has poured 1 extra liter of oil into the engine :shock: , I have my doubts. Maybe he was right....
