My new polo finally arrived. I now have some more answers.

1. It is happy with a 256gb micro-usb (with adapter) in slot SD2 (SD1 is used for the satnav
maps). It is happy with VFAT or NTFS format (I'll try EXT2/2/3 in due course).

2. As well as MP3, it happily ...

my polo has gone straight from 'build week of 3/9/2018' to

"Your car has been built and has now left the factory. On average it takes 4 weeks from build for this model to reach your local Volkswagen Retailer."

of course, no mention of possible wltp delays...

email from vw saying I now have a build week of 3/9/2018. Assuming the normal 6 weeks after, I'll get it mid October - total wait will
be over 8 months.

Well, it's nice to know that something is happening...

I dont know the answers to most of those questions, but would like to.

But as part of my test drive, I plugged in a usb 128gb flash drive, formatted as fat32 (vfat) and full of mp3 files. it worked fine.

if I have the choice, (I'm waiting for an SEL too), I'd like to use a large SD card (in order ...

My turn for a rant...

In a workplace (or anywhere else for that matter), it is simply unacceptable for one employee to hit another, for any reason. And if it is a senior employee hitting a junior, because he is a bully, and thinks he can get away with it, well, just no. Sack him, and don't sneakily ...

It will be interesting to see if the build dates we have been given are meaningful. So far I don't know anyone who ordered a Polo to be built actually having it delivered, let alone on spec.
