Re: New price list and wltp

If you drive your GTI like a boy racer, you should expect low MPG, a light right foot, gives you more MPG  Replying to "monkeyhanger" and his low MPG in his GTI. unfortunately "Monkeyhanger" and "Mike SEL" both have stopped seeing my posts, but he has posted that...

Re: New GTI + delivery

I'm sure someone in this thread cancelled their order (due to the waiting time) so I think you should be able to. Would also like clarification though as if the car hasn't gone into production by December I'll probably cancel as well. I was one of the people who cancelled, due to waiting time. I or...

Re: New GTI + delivery

I made the decision today to cancel my order. Have gone and bought an Octavia VRS. I'm picking it up next Friday.... Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk That’s a good choice. Lot bigger than the Polo, but a cracking car. After cancelling my Polo GTi+ , I found a very low mileage Golf GTi, and pick...

Re: New GTI + delivery

I had enough of Volkswagen in the end, 5 months in, no build date and seeing no GTi builds till November, so cancelled my order this morning.
Thanks to all on here, who have posted useful information and experiences. This forum is excellent, shame VW was not.

Re: New GTI + delivery

I would also think the lack of supply would enhance residuals of the GTi, a great deal.

Re: New GTI + delivery

That is utterly ridiculous, waiting over 8 months and no build date. VW don’t deserve to sell cars. I am annoyed about my order, but a January order with still no build date is inexcusable.
What does the dealer have to say?

Re: Polo Performance News Snippets

I totally agree. The Auto express test is on their website now and, from the off, it was always going to be the Fiesta as the favourite for them. No consideration of the practical aspects at all and the verdict seemed to be purely on fun factor. I am sure the Fiesta is fun to drive, but a lot of peo...

Re: New GTI + delivery

I am seriously considering cancelling my order now. I ordered my GTi+ at the end of March and not a sniff of a build date. That’s very poor.

Re: Post WLTP build allocation

VW certainly are ridiculous with their waiting times for the Polo. Ordered mine 17 weeks ago and not a sniffof a build date.

Re: Polo Performance News Snippets

Reading between the lines, it seems likely that the post WLTP gti may have a less sporty exhaust sound, if the system is more restrictive. I very much doubt customers will be informed of that sort of detail change. As the days go by , with lack of positive support from vw and information from other ...

Re: Polo Performance News Snippets

I wonder if that means that there is a fundamental difference between pre and post WLTP Polo GTi engines? Do ABT know something?

Re: Polo Performance News Snippets

The best your going to get out of your Polo GTI+ even with a bit of tuning might get 250 BHP. Why don't you just stick with your Skoda Superb 280 sportsline, that you have right now, It's a much faster car than any 1 Ltr Polo GTI+. I think I know what suits my needs, thank you. Superb is incredibly...

Thanks for sharing the news.
I would quite like a 250 ish PS Polo with the electro mechanical diff, if they ever made one.

Re: Carwow dragrace polo gti vs hothatches

A lot of the tests they do, area bit tongue in cheek. The rolling start was possibly more relevant, but as the tester said, they are all quick ish cars and each has its own appeal. The Yaris is very specialised and very expensive, but probably good fun to drive. They are all hot hatches after all. H...
