A few weeks ago they started to play up only working intermittently now to cease to working at all via any of the windows switches in both the passenger door and driver’s door. Both windows still go up and down b...

I agree, best of luckflanagaj wrote:I have found a company in Cornwall who do a whole exchange head for £225 + vat. Given the trouble I have had with the head on this one I think I am just going to go down that route.

Re: Another burnt valve. Only 5 months since last one.
SO having removed the head I turned it upside down and filled each of the cylinder tops with water. Low and behold water quickly started draining from number 1 and out of the exhaust port. In fact I put my bright led light into the exhaust port hole and you could clearly see the ring of light aroun...

Re: Another burnt valve. Only 5 months since last one.
Beginning of May I stripped down my Daughter's 3 cylinder BMD engine and had new valve seats and the head skimmed as a result of poor compression. This solved the problem and the car ran fine. Cut a long story short the engine management light came on yesterday and it went into limp mode. Got the v...

Re: Rear washer.
What happens is,the connection near the abs block behind the battery comes disconnected, normally by operating the washer while still frozen,I had six like it over the years, simple job, battery off makes life easier, fill up the bottle, open bonnet, get someone to operate the washers, you will then find t...
