Re: Baz's build thread
Hi, I've finally got around to taking some pictures of the car and everyone likes pictures haha. I'll keep this short and list a few thing I've done... Eyebrows for the headlights Indicator tints Painted engine bay parts and brackets New coilovers Camber shims on the rear (small amount of Camber) D...

Re: Polo engine noise
Yeah I noticed this but since I've had the car such a long time I'd forgotten about it, just go used to it. As you say the 1.2Tsi sound a little asthmatic pulling away, it's actually quite slow off the mark in the first few yards compared to a normally aspirated 1.2, but once it's on the move it pu...

Re: Polo engine noise
If I understand you correctly, maybe what you hear is what the engine suppose to sound like. I have a 1.2 tsi 6c and it does have a different sound, I would describe it as a 4 cylinder with a stuffed nose, a rather bassy growl when under load. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, true. Collected today. R-Line 115 Manual. Really impressed, nippy and handles well. Getting some looks out on the road tonight and the rear LED’s look awesome. Very happy with my purchase and the 5 month wait is a distant memory! :) E3BAAD98-6B63-46D9-A46B-12AF20CEE34D.jpeg 24BF23B4-9724-4AAE-BAD9-BDFB7B...

Re: 1.0 110 TSI vs 1.2 110 TSI - which is best?
Thanks very much for the detailed answer. I did take on board your advice, and also got my own impression that the 1.0 wouldn't be the best choice. I didn't get the chance to drive it but did plenty of research - it improves emissions but sounds like it's less smooth to drive and potentially not as...

Re: SOS!!! Do i have a serious problem?
Very important with the timechain engiens. When cold start important to heat up the catalyst to be warm. Starts with 1000-1100 rpm and goes down to 600 rpm in 30-45 sec. If your car is a 2013-14 it has a better chain tensioner and chain but you changed the chain so hope it sounds better. Bought min...

Re: SOS!!! Do i have a serious problem?
I decided to change the timing chain, tensioner etc.(whole set) because the car made that horrible noise on startup that started a couple of years ago. Now i can hear this weird whinig noise that increases as the revs increase and sounds like those little toy cars. To better understand what i mean h...

Re: RS RaceChip
Hi, I have the exact same model. I’m also on the fence as to which chip to get, the basic one or the next one up. I would love to hear if anyone has already done this. If you want the racechip, go for the rs which give you nearly 30 HP and 40nm to the 110 tsi and 25hp/40nm to the 95hp model. Totall...
