Re: Plug and Play Sound system (Sub and Amp)
Hi all...to bring this totally up-to-date. I've a 2018 GTi+ and sound system is rubbish so after much research settled on Helix sub, primarily as it won't invalid warranty. Listers Leamington supplied and fitted and it sounded awful! They were puzzled as the B model is apparently preprogrammed for P...

Re: What would you change about your Polo?
Andy...You are totally wrong about the front-end collision warning. It is most certainly not woeful. It saved me from crashing into the rear of a hard braking car with no brake lights on Sunday. My 2litre GTi+ is £55 / annum less to insure than my previous 1.8 due to its increased safety. Plus the a...

Re: Newbie saying hi and thinking of ordering a GTi+
Have no doubts!!! My GTi+ is the best car I've yet owned. No it's not perfect, what car is? But it makes all the right compromises...I think you guys waiting will be very pleased.

Re: What would you change about your Polo?
The hi-fi....it's terrible! My 1.4 was quite good, the 1.8 ok but the 2.0l is really tinny.

Re: What MPG are owners getting in the real world?
Reading this you'd hardly know it was about mpg! Anyway, on a 320 mile round trip to Blackpool last weekend my 2018 Polo GTi+ returned 46mpg. That's about 8mpg better than my previous 1.8L Polo GTi.

Polo GTi+ Vers Golf GTi
You might have read about my problems with delivery on my VW taking the p*ss post. After contacting VW's MD directly, she got executive office on the case, they fast tracked my car and so I could go on the booked holiday, hired me a Golf GTi. So.....I've just come back from driving brand new, (420mi...

Re: What MPG are owners getting in the real world?
Brand new GTi+, 80miles done so far...39.6mpg in crazy heavy traffic, bit of M6, some town and a bit of back road hooning.. l expect it to do better on a sensible drive. That's pretty good as my 2016 GTi only did that max!

Re: VW app taking the p**s!
I agree... VW logistics seem totally useless. But like I said, I'm now putting 2000 odd miles on a brand new Golf GTi so they at least believe in customer care. My new car should be waiting for me when I come back from my holiday

Re: VW app taking the p**s!
Well here's a thing, I've been talking to VW executive office over the late delivery of my Polo GTi. I have a touring holiday and my dealer just issues smug platitudes telling me not to worry. So I idly checked the tracker and it indicated my car's in the UK and VW UK didn't know! Its still going to...

You have to admit, for a giant company dealing with info on many thousand pound items that is pretty bad!

But is yours a GTi? Can't be as they're built in SA and transit alone is 12 weeks. Hope you enjoy your new car
