Re: Polo passenger A pillar creaking/rattling
Toyota has that idea, that they Toyota employees whether it be production or management, must think of something that can improve the high standard of their machines, that's why Japanese car manufacturers are always improving the high standard and reliability of their cars. Where as German cars are ...

Re: Polo passenger A pillar creaking/rattling
I don't think your dealer doing a PDI would drive the car around the roads, it's an in garage inspection, so a loose clip wouldn't show up on the PDI. While on the production line, it's the actual line that moves not the technicians, and the time is specified how long they have on their part of the ...

Re: Polo passenger A pillar creaking/rattling
I had a sound which I thought was coming from the dash, when I turned either left or right, you could hear a sliding sound, the dealers had just replaced new dash pads as I ordered, orange, the same as the car, but when it was delivered it had black pads, so they changed them for free. So I assumed ...

Re: Analogue dial lights
I've done what they have told me and kept the lights switch on auto all the time. If at any time the dash lights go out, the car will be parked outside their main door till the lights work correctly.
I will keep the forum up-dated.

Re: 2019 lead times
If you were ordering a Morgan, it's got a long waiting list, but 14 months for a Polo, tell them to poke it, no Polo's worth that wait.

Re: Analogue dial lights
Booked the car in, and explained the problem, when I took it in I explained the problem to the service guy. I said I'd wait till it had been done, it took about one and a half hours. When I got the "Account Invoice" it read Confirm that the dash lights turned off/on on their own. Confirm t...

Re: 2019 lead times
The thing is being the 2nd week you'll have a 69 plate, though it's a 2020 motor, so it's a new number till March then the 2020 plate comes out.

Re: 2019 lead times
This clip about Port Elizabeth should be shown to all people ordering a new Polo, would it change their minds about ordering? And for forum members on this post alone (2019 lead times) should also watch it. They are talking about containers, but do the car transporters get special "OK you can g...

Re: Dashcam interference
I do have a dash cam, but no rear camera, and I don't get any interference, as for putting a ferrite core in the head lining, there is plenty of room.
I have mine hard wired.

Re: 2019 lead times
Well I've been done over by someone. Had build week 36 confirmed and then also told that the vehicle was ready to be shipped. Now been told it hasn't been built and I'm looking at build week 40 something and will be lucky to have it by December. I reckon someone in the dealer network has nabbed my ...

Re: Number plate holders
Some body mentioned about "dealer advertising". Quite a few years back (35+ years) when purchasing a brand new motor, I stated that I didn't want one of their garage transfers in my rear window, if they did when it was delivered, I would refuse the car. Fortunately for them, there were no ...

If your going down the double sided tape route, for a belt and braces job, also use some silicone sealant between the tapes.

You just transfer the holes from your original number plates to the gel plates.

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!
Thank you for dissecting my post, at least you did read it, but the one question I did ask and both of you, declined to answer "are you members of the Institute Of Advanced Drivers"? As neither of you replied to this particular question, I presume the answer would be a resounding NO. This ...

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!
As long as you keep your attention 100% on a motorway a car doing 56MPH is no more dangerous or hazardous than an HGV doing 56MPH. As I've said before "just because your allowed to do 70MPH on a motorway, doesn't mean you have to do 70MPH. The only borderline antisocial driving are the ****** i...
