Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

Haven’t met too many other GTI drivers either around my parts of the continent. Only really seen one other GTI, but plenty of regular Polos and quite a few of them have been guys my age (30). Feels good to sit in the GTI when the guy next to you at the lights is in his Comfortline gawking your GTI....

Re: Yellow warning triangle light

Can anyone give me anymore info to what maybe the issue here and does it need to go to the dealer or is it a case of topping up fluids or something? Is this your first car by any chance? If a WARNING triangle lights up, your first step is the dealers, you could even before you do any more miles, ph...

All that cost, looks nice, but not for me. For what you've spent on that and at the lights the new Ford Focus ST out drags you :(

Re: Carbon Parts and Aero.

We have on our TV, a programme where films from peoples dash cams are shown. The majority of shots are taken from either Russian or Polish dash cams. And the driving is abysmal. You can keep your 110 MPH if that's the way you drive over there in Warsaw.

Re: Carbon Parts and Aero.

Why on earth would I need a push bike? I think silverhairs’ subtle attempt at humour is implying that if you drive at that speed on the public highway and get caught by the police, then (in the UK) you’ll loose your driving licence and be banned from driving. NO, I was being serious about some idio...

Re: Carbon Parts and Aero.

I'm already looking for a roof spoiler, but not one just to stick on... I would like to find a functional roof spoiler. Preferably an adjustable one, that if I so desire will give me some proper downforce at speed. I travel at high speeds regularly and the car gets jumpy at high speeds. Driving it ...

Re: 18 plate polo with no problems to date!

That fun is why you get the GTI. pleased your loving it. No point in having the GTI and doing the speeds I do..lol :D Do you think there is more power to squeeze out of the 2.0l TSI? and if so will it be possible to get that extra power down to the road? VW might be able to squeeze a bit more power...

Re: New GTI + delivery

Anyone here expecting delivery of a blue Gti (**19 OOY) this weekend? As a beavertail pickup has just passed me on the A417 near Cirencester with this car on the back. Despite the recent increase in Gti numbers this is the 1st other one I’ve seen outside of a showroom Apart from my SEL, there are t...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

The DSG had another brain fart today (2 overall to date). Crawled towards a roundabout in 2nd that's always busy and you don't know it's clear to the right until you're just about on it. Saw a gap when I got there, so put my foot down and...nothing for 2/3 of a second, but felt like an eternity. I'...

Re: GTI+Steering Wheel Diameter

Why some one didn’t just give a number !! 37 cm Very true "Mike222" why couldn't some body just go outside and measure their steering wheel and answer the question? Instead of "Steering wheel diameter is exactly the same as found on the Golf 7, 7.5 GTi or R." All the guy wanted was a measurement, a...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Boy, the GTI mafia are having a field day, having a pop at me, the next thing the moderator will be inundated with my posts, from GTI & GTI+ members? Only last week, I took my mates GTI+ out for a drive. Yes I must admit, it goes like Joe S**t, but apart from that, I might as well been sitting in my...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

People purchasing a GTI, think it will be better spec'd than the normal run of the mill Polo. When (apart from the engine) they are poorly spec'd. The SEL is better spec'd than the GTI. Engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes, front and rear bumper, rear spoiler and side skirts, wheels, sport seats etc...
