Re: Front wiper Fault! 1 week old car!

I've been booked in for tomorrow (Monday) 14.00 hrs to pick my new car up. When down yesterday to sort out the 5 day VW insurance cover, to get me home and take the Mrs car down to the grand daughter. The sales guy said "your cars in having it's PDI, would you like to see it?" We went into the works...

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

My polo and I didn't do much today, but the dealer emailed me with a list of registration numbers to pick from, as it's arrived at the dealers now :D

Re: Headlight adjustment

Do you have to disconnect the wires from the bulbs before removing the unit, or are the wires long enough to disconnect when unit is free?

Those steamy windows in a static car might attract dogging spectators!
There's a retired guy across the road, you never see him during the day. Once it gets dark he goes out every night. Not sure if he's out dogging or he's just a vampire :?:

Re: Headlight adjustment

When I was specking my car, the cost of the LED headlights were about £1000. As we very rarely go out when it's dark, I thought that was not an option, but I do like the DRL with the LED lights. So I'll go for the Osram H7 cool blue intense 4200K 55w. I've emailed Osram and asked if they are whiter ...

Re: Poor warm up and de-misting

One thing with the old manual choke, it did higher the revs of the engine, so enabling the engine to warm up faster.

Re: Poor warm up and de-misting

In another forum I'm in, some members who fill-up with supermarket fuel complain that their engines sounds as though their pinking. OK purchasing cheaper fuel if monies tight, but I don't care what people say that it all comes out of the same tanker? When you purchase branded fuel (Shell, Esso) it's...

Re: Headlight adjustment

The guy to ask about fuses for the headlights is "iichel" he was trying to get all information about VW fuse boxes, he should be able to help you out? Are the 80w bulbs road legal? Did you purchase your car new? If you like the 5000K lighting, might have been a better proposition if you had added LE...

Re: Anyone going to miss a 3-door option?

Just cannot believe your logic? Your in a three door car, the person in the back behind the driver wants to get out. So the person in the front passengers seat has to get out, pull the front seat forward. The passenger who was sitting behind the front seat passenger has to get out to let the person ...

Re: Recall - rear seat belt

After I posted about my Polo having to be delivered 200 yards by transporter, while it's still on the docks, it's private land. At that point it's not taxed, has no registration plate or insurance. So a transporter is the only way off the docks. But then again, they have people (a lot of OAP's) who ...

If you do fit one, tell the insurance company, else you won't be covered. I had to tell them I ha fitted a tow ball.

Re: Recall - rear seat belt

I was told today that my Polo was on the ship destination Grimsby. The VW dealer is approximately 300 yards from where the ship docks. So I said "I'll have it before the weekend", as North sea ferries can cross in 12 hours to Hull, which is across the river. He said "it could be up too two weeks bec...
