How much did it cost? They quoted me £163 for the first service (oil change service). I politely told them to jog on with that price. The car is actually on the 2 year maintenance cycle so not too necessary anyway.

Re: NSFW top mount bearing

Pretty sure I have the same issue, almost sounds like a knocking noise but get the occasional creak. More pronounced when turning one way. I called to book it in, but the earliest appointment was 4 weeks away and I couldn't commit. Putting up with it for now

Re: Difficult to start on hill without burning clutch

As someone who works at Nissan, they are not the most reliable, but definitely not the worst. They fall well behind in terms of technology though. As for Pulsar, is no longer produced in Europe. Juke is showing it's age and will be put to bed soon

Re: Orange triangle exclamation mark means what?

Could be the front assist not working? Happened to me yesterday driving through a blizzard. Too much ice over the sensor caused it to have a fit.

Is it possible to add navigation if it wasn't chosen as an option. I imagine a new head unit for starters. Not sure if the GPS antenna would already be there or would need to buy this as well. I've got AID but no point in nav option if I can use Android Auto maps on the head unit.

45MPG from my GTI this morning - mix of speeds and light traffic. Normally get around 40 on the commute. Biggest factors I find are, driving style & temperature.

Re: Ridiculous condensation

This is connected to another thread I started about poor demisting - I'm convinced the 1.0 TSI engine partly due to it's high efficiency and the generous cooling system for a 999cc (presume to cope with the turbo in hot weather) makes it give away little heat - it's too thermally efficient if that'...

Found a cobweb in the headlamp unit. Anyone else had this or any advice on cleaning it?

Re: Anyone leased a GTI

I've leased my GTI. It came sooner than estimated. Delivered on a truck to my door, 11 miles on the clock. The company I used is gb vehicle leasing. Spec as matched as expected. 10,000 miles a year, 2 year contract. Do you mind me asking how much it cost (initial payment and monthly)? ~£2k initial....

Re: Polo GTI Standard Headlights

Re original question....we have a standard specification GTI. There are no red lines in the headlamps because we don't have LED lights. Even the sales team agree that the 'brochure' was slightly misleading. Imagine our surprise when we saw headlamps without the red line. If you go to the thread, yo...
