Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

monkyhanger Regards wipers; I used Autoglym Fast Glass on the windscreen yesterday, and all wiper vibrations and juddering have gone. Could just be a fluke but today I could screen wash away with no problem at all. Regards DSG; I find it slow to change gears in manual and have a mind of its own some...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Good honest review MrLems, I enjoy reading the positive and negative comments that each owner has through their personal experience, looks great in the white. Can I ask a question, I have never owned a car with a black roof liner inside, does it make the cabin feel darker than normal with the tinte...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

You've had your Polo 3 weeks now, and you have passed the 620 miles that's OK you think it's given you more power, and you are able to spin the wheels in 2nd gear. Don't you think your pushing the engine a little too much, it should still be running in, up to about 1000 miles. Keep driving it like ...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Had my Polo GTI+ now for nearly 3 weeks so here is an overview to-date: Looks: Car looks great in white with the optional Brescia wheels. Very happy with my choice. I think white works well in showing the black and red details on the car such as the rear spoiler lip, red brake calipers, red stripe o...

My Polo GTI+ on 18 Bresica wheels came with Bridgestone Turanza T001 tyres.

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

VW tyre choices are a lottery. Just hope you don't get Bridgestone Potenza S001 or RE050A. Every time I get Bridgestones on a FWD VW, tramping is ridiculous, ruins the car - like making Usain Bolt run in wooden clogs. Damp grip is terrible too. No tramping on the R, but turn in grip below 10C is ve...

Re: What MPG are owners getting in the real world?

Early days yet I know (only had car a week) but with 2.0 GTI+ DSG I've been getting around 44mpg on the commute to work (45miles with 30 on motorway and 15 in early London traffic) but when not commuting, and with my heavy right foot, I'm well below 30mpg ... Overall I'm actually pleasantly surprise...

Re: New GTI + delivery

Afternoon all. I’ll be placing my order this coming week after a bit of time thinking over what options I want for sure. Drove a pretty bog standard GTI today and it felt superb. Some of the plastic quality is something left to be desired however overall great little car. Going for a GTI+ in Reef B...

Re: First UK Test of the Polo GTI

Good, enjoyable test without too much waffle, Top Gear could do a lot worse. Interesting about the 2D VW badge, thought VW were being cheap, but a good idea placing the sensor built-in behind it. Wasn't over-fussed 'bout the AID but warming to it a bit. I assume the car was not returned and bagged ...

Re: GTI and GTI plus owners experiences

Question for GTI and GTI + owners with winter pack. Just checked the info sent to me after my order and headlamp washers were included in the winter pack. Does the car actually have them fitted? Mine has a Winter Pack but no headlight washers, used to drive me mad on my old one, a freshly cleaned c...

Re: New GTI + delivery

I'm collecting my GTI this Thursday. It's taken best part of 3 weeks to get from Sheerness to the dealer for collection. I've also been told by my dealer that as of this morning there are currently only 16 GTIs in the UK!

Re: VW app taking the p**s!

Well my tracker went from arrived in the UK, to in transit, and then now it's back in the UK. Bit of yo-yo going on!

But like others has said, use the VW online chat or your dealer for an accurate update. Mines been in the UK since 26th May and still waiting

Re: Has anyone else got their GTI or GTI+

Mine arrived in Sheerness yesterday! I'm hoping, what with the order originally meant to be a VW demonstrator car, it won't take too long to get to the dealer for collection. Time will tell. However I can't complain because I only 'ordered' it on the 13th May. Still, I'm far too excited and impatien...
