Re: Eco Mode - Have to Activate after Start

I really like the eco mode coasting, but find it annoying i have to select eco mode after each start to get it to activate. Am i missing a setting that makes the gearbox coasting persistent? In my car Individual mode remains selected through each ignition cycle. You could try applying the Eco Setti...

Re: Servicing interval

Mine had its first service just after 9400 Miles. The car is currently on 11250 Miles Service Display currently says: Inspection in 8800 mi or 419 days Oil change service in 7600 mi or 287 day So the 9400 Mile interval ties in with fixed servicing. My concern is that if I have the 2nd Oil change Ser...

Re: New GTI + delivery

Are the door sills illuminated as previously mentioned in the brochure for the 2019 model? Sent from my SM-G960F using Tapatalk The UK Configurator still mentions "Scuff plates in door apertures (illuminated)" under Standard Equipment, but I have seen no evidence that they are illuminated...

Other than that, they're identical. ...and the two additions USB charging points for the rear seat passengers on the rear of the centre armrest. :P Interesting review monkey, I’ve been looking forward to your comparison between the ‘18 and ‘19 GTI+ The window rubber issue was a bit poor. Have to ad...

Re: Reversing Camera Oddity?????

It’s not just you. The static guide lines are useless unless you want to park miles away from the kerb or whatever you are trying to line up with. The camera is helpful purely for the image, but for lining stuff up, I need to use my mirrors. The RNS 510 in a previous 2009 Tiguan was brilliant by com...

Re: Blind Spot Detection Help

I have the parts and looms and Kufatec have said that they don’t do this for RHD vehicles. It’s the coding help that I need from someone...if I could get a scan and channel maps of some modules that would help massively. Scott Ahhhh, OK, I do have blind spot monitoring on my car but unfortunately I...

Re: GTI+ Stolen, Recovered, Manhandled by Insurer's Garage - Need a VW Garage

Also, little things like how to switch on / off the air con feed into the glovebox, displaying the analogue clock on the infotainment screen when the infotainment system is switched off, temporarily disabling keyless entry - easily left undiscovered if not for that book in the glovebox, or the know...

Re: GTI+ Stolen, Recovered, Manhandled by Insurer's Garage - Need a VW Garage

I also saw an advert the other day for a new device from somewhere in the Netherlands which goes inside your keyfob around the battery, there are 2 version, 1 which cuts power to the fob after it being still for 3 mins or one which you have to stop still and then tap your fob (or pocket\bag with it...

Re: Does the GTI have traffic jam assist?

I do 20K Motorway miles per year, and I find ACC invaluable. In conjunction with DSG, the ACC can control the speed of the car to the pre-set limit, all the way down to a complete stop without any need for driver input apart from steering. The only input required if you are using this in a traffic j...

Re: Digital Cockpit Question

My infotainment screen still fires up with the GTI logo, but the virtual cockpit does not. To be honest, i'm not sure if the virtual cockpit ever displayed the GTI logo like the infotainment screen does, could someone with a GTI+ confirm? The GTI logo only appears on the infotainment screen. The Di...

Re: Retrofit Reversing Camera

When I looked into why it cost so much when I wanted to add it to my 6C polo it turns out that unless you get it factory fitted, the wiring for the camera doesn't exist so it involves adding the cable to the loom and pulling out loads of trim and carpet to run the cable along the car. Don't know if...
