It is frustrating that VW have picked an "odd" size for the tyres.

215/40/R17 doesn't seem to be a common size, and a lot of recommended tyres on the review sites won't fit the car.

I will try dropping the pressure down to the comfort settings, see if that makes a difference.

As for new tyres, I will have to check out the reviews and balance that against the cost of 4 new tyres.

I have been trawling around various tyre review sites looking at possible replacements for mt tyres.

My car has 215/40/R17/87V tyres fitted.

Ideally I want to try and get a softer ride, as the roads around where I live are quiet poor, and the car feels a bit crashy over some surfaces.

I am going to want a permanent fix.

I get rather OCD about squeaks and rattles.

I am sure my local garage will get it fixed.

I have just been out to pick up 2 bags of dog food, and on the way home the squeaking was a lot better.

Not sure why 24 kilo of dog food in the boot would improve things, unless the extra weight at the back changed the load on the front of the car.

I won't mention any names, but I have a potential issue with main VW dealer.

I bought a 64 plate Polo Blue GT in July 18.

During the test drive there was a distinct clicking coming from the drivers side.

The sales rep told me that it was the trade plate clicking on the rear window ...

The G6 doesn't have a car mode.

It comes with Mirrorlink installed, and seems to know you have plugged it in to a car.

The phone has 2 options - auto connect and manual connect.

I have tried both of them, with no success.

I am happy to wait for the VW cable, even though I can't see it working ...

VW are sending me a genuine USB cable.

If this fails, I am going to push them for a full refund.

Update

The USB cable has arrived, and I can now connect to Mirrorlink everytime I plug it in.

It still crashes after 20 second, so I guess it is a set up issue.

I can't see any config for Mirrorlink in the car setting menu, and the phone only allows you to allow Mirrorlink to connect ...
