Re: Coolant leaking can't tell that this part is

These pipes are the flow and return to/from the cabin air heater matrix, I have been lucky and never had to deal with that issue, but there are, I think, seals that are on the areas these pipe stubs connect to, and refitting them after replacing the seals can be a complete nightmare - or has been ...

Re: Engine swap ideas?

I would invest in either a vagcom cable or a decent code reader that will clear airbag / abs lights. I found out the problem, the airbag cable in the steering had a broken ground cable and need to get a replacement break wear sensor or wire old one back up some how, witb airbag getting that wire ...

Re: Engine swap ideas?

What is the current odometer reading? That will help determine potential failure points and/or work required.

A good independent VW specialist will offer better value than VW. Not sure where you are located but someone might be able to recommend. I tend to do most work myself now but have have ...

Re: Engine swap ideas?

I've been running and maintaining my 2002 for 9 years now. Being and old vehicle there is always something that needs doing. On the other hand, it's a reliable slug (usually) and I don't have to be too concerned about it. Occasionally a job will come up requiring me to spend a hundred or two, but ...

Re: Engine swap ideas?

At the moment I been thinking about getting it though the second mot, just few dashboard lights on and pig finding solutions that doesn't require a professional help, but it's kinda at the point thinking is it worth it and yet again millage is low enough that if I do spend couple hundred pounds on ...

Handbrake cable

Has anyone had any issues getting the handbrake cable through the tube into the interior of the car?
I been trying to fit my replacement handbrake cable and it seems to get stuck half way through.

Vw polo 9n mk4 2002

Good morning

After my accident, I removed and refitted my dashboard, the fan positioning seems to be stuck on front air vents, the heater and speed works perfectly but it just doesn't change to the footwell nor the demister. It's been annoying when we had the misty morning's and I had to go and ...

Re: Vw 1.4 9n handbrake

Thanks for the reply and response, so what should I do, replace the rear brake calipers and possibly handbrake cable? I did recently change the brakes and pads
Also where can I possibly find a new handbrake bracket(didn't see any on ebay)
