Re: Problem Car
Yes it does turns on when movement is detect records 30 secs and turns off and uses it’s only internal battery. It only works off the car battery to charge the unit when ignition is on. The first and second visits were recorded even though I asked them if they would like us to remove it. They said i...

Re: Problem Car
Still trying to reject, and they are still trying to repair. They are now blaming my hardwire dashcam to cause a low voltage reading which is causing ABS, front assist and power steering to go in to protect mode. Even though I’ve never had problems with the battery and been told it will worse after ...

Re: Dashcam cable routing
Hi everyone, Just saw this, I’ve currently got my car in the garage for front assist issue they currently blaming my hardwired dash cam. Saying this is causing low voltage but I’ve never had a problem with the battery. This is causing it to go into protect mode especially after being left for 2-3 da...

Re: Problem Car
Hi Everyone Just thought I would give an update on the situation. So I was just going to live with the problem until a front assist issue nearly caused me to get in a serious accident around 2 days ago. My other half phone the garage the next day as it was closed at the time. They advise to ring VW ...

Re: Deactivate front assist?
Good luck with your front assist issue! VW are less than helpful than the dealers when it comes to this issue mine spent nearly two months in the dealership trying to sort it out. Video evidence of it not working how it should did not help in rejection of vehicle either. I’ve been left terrified to ...

Re: Problem Car
Hi everyone, So speaking to this solicitor, he said no I can't go for rejection under the clock stop ticking as I only asked for repair or diagnositics (something I thought you are suppose to do as rejection is extreme in the first step), I did not make the dealership aware that I was planning to re...

Re: Problem Car
Been to the dealership, not brilliant news! having to pay more a month for replacement, I’m basically footing the bill for the negative equity on the car even though it’s not my fault I need a replacement car! So I’m stuck with what to do. I might have to take it back and then try to swap next year ...

Re: Handbrake
I think half the problem is VW won’t admit there is an issue with the handbrake. I got told that it’s moisture in the brake drums and it will get worse over winter whereas this is true or not I’m sure (dealership is abit of making up stories dealer). I know unrelated but I’ve been using my sister’s ...

Re: Problem Car
After seeking some legal advice, it’s seems my case is abit of a grey area and it all depends how the dealership and finance company is interpreting the Consumer rights act apparently they could be going off I didn’t go to reject the vehicle in the first 30 days so it moves it the second tier, six m...

Re: Problem Car
Thanks for the advice, I’m going to try it. Still trying to get some legal advice on it all but solicitors that deal with this are hard to come by. I’m going to try my emails to CEOs and see if they bring anything back. I can’t believe they don’t think this is serious. I think there is Finanical reg...

Re: Problem Car
Totally stuck and lost for words.... Finally got to speak to my case handler at VWFS, after requesting a manager to call me, she calls me. She says she can only go off what the dealership says and that I can’t reject the vehicle with them as the dealership say there no fault, I can’t reject on wiper...

Re: Problem Car
Hi everyone, I am on finance with VWFS, rang them again on Thursday, said they were going to email my case handler and a manager and something should be done i.e. a phone call with an update. No phone call so I will be emailing many CEOs once I pinpoint who is still current (CEO email website seems ...

Re: Problem Car
I did try that but woman at VW was having none of it was even though I said I need the five seats. The temp fix still hasn’t been carried out. I started the rejection process on 13th September and still fighting for them to accept it under Consumer Rights Act. I’ve contact some solicitors to double ...

Re: Recall - rear seat belt
I know thats what I thought, I was unaware when I bought the car in June. As well the courtesy car had no stickers and was not told about not using the seat either. Luckily I knew about this but if you had a different model of VW you would not know potiental? I'm doing that now, seat belt recall and...

Re: Handbrake
I have issue with both handbrake and usbs not connecting with the iPhone. The dealer is saying there is not an issue with it. If more people are issues with these things, shows there are problems there. Good luck with trying to rejection, I'm going through the rejection process now. I started it on ...
