Re: Android Auto / Wave+Google Maps

No issues whatsoever with Apple CarPlay and Apple maps, exactly the same as what’s on the phone.
I would have a play with settings etc. I have an android phone for work, I’ll see if I can get it working in the car, if I can I’ll let you know how it is.

Re: After Market stereo for Blue GT?

The “drinks holders” are excellent for stashing your phone, or the little shelf behind them. Plug in and away you go, also charges via the usb. I think it’s a far better solution than the crazy money vw wanted for the satnav option. The whole functionality is great. And if you don’t want to use the ...

Re: LED vs Standard Headlights DRL Question

You’re probably quite correct. I just have a thing about blanks and non functioning things. I was thinking of an led drl in there or something, but as you say cost will probably be prohibitive.

Re: LED vs Standard Headlights DRL Question

I think you are totally correct, nothing seems to occur with the extra lenses, just the fog lamps work and an extra square lens next to them, just wondering if there was anything I could do with them!

Re: LED vs Standard Headlights DRL Question

Thanks for that, I believe that it was detailed the HiDS deleted the front fog lamps if specced but for some reason I ended up with both, when it arrived I saw them and I certainly wasn’t going to moan about it so kept quiet!! Sorry, but new to the whole VW scene and get a bit confused between 6c et...

Re: LED vs Standard Headlights DRL Question

I’m beginning to wonder what I have in my bumper now next to my fog lights, maybe they’re not the drls, would the “cornering” lights be in there?
Because I specced the HiDS the drl and cornering lights are all in the headlight, only fogs in the bumper, but there is def an extra lens in there!?

Re: New BlueGT

Seems a reasonable assumption to make, you are probably right. Oh well, fingers crossed it all gets sorted over the next 18 months when I’m ready to change!
Thanks for the input!

Re: LED vs Standard Headlights DRL Question

I specced the HiDs on my BlueGT. The DRL are now in the lights as are the cornering lights. I now have a spare lens in lower fog lights, can you add a bulb in or do something with them does anyone know?
Have to say the HiDS are amazing compared to the halogen bulbs!

New BlueGT

Apologies if this has been mentioned elsewhere. Does anyone know if there will a new shape BlueGT? I’m thinking of changing mine at 3 years (in 18 months time) and was just wondering if there will be a new BlueGT? I do a fair number of miles each year and the BlueGT is a good compromise of economy a...

Re: Hello all, potential new polo owner here

The front BlueGT badge just pushes on, mine had a blob of black silicon looking stuff on it too. Wasn’t difficult to get off. Rear badges were a little more awkward...

Re: Polo 6R/6C Photo Gallery

Well, never felt the need for heated seats, however I specced then anyway as they came with the “winter pack” and I have to say I used them nearly every day last winter. Very nice with the alcantara! Just as a matter of interest did anyone else change their seats to the Black alcantara? I personally...

Re: App Connect

I know it’s probably not going to help anyone but I have to say the carconnect/Apple CarPlay option is the one option I would always spec now, and I specced mine with pretty much every option. Voice and texts all voice activated, sat nav and WhatsApp etc. Def worth the money even at the aftermarket ...
