Hi does anybody know if you can get one of these cheaper, or from somewhere in the UK?, im thinking of getting one and painting it red, to give it that Golf GTI look!

EGR Shutdown

Last night I put a nail into the tube that goes into the EGR valve, blocking it completley, now im getting pure fresh air into my engine I feel that the turbo spools quicker and there is more power and torque below 2000rpm.
Anybody else blocked their EGR physically or electronically and noticed any ...

Screw the FSH! I have started doing it myself, I do about 20,000 a year, this means taking my car in a couple of times a year for a £200 service. I will probably have the car for 5 years so will have spent over £1500 in service costs alone. A FSH will only increace the price of a car by about  ...

I got them from www.tachoringe.com and it came to about £35 including postage. That was with the light switch surround.

Got my rings today, they took 7 working days to get here from Germany. I put them in and it was easy. They really brighten up the dash area, I recomend you also get the chrome bezel which goes around the light switch.

I have driven the 9n GT (130bhp) in the wet and I definatly felt that there was a need for traction control. With the amount of power and torque produced by that engine I would say that traction controll is a must for a car of that size.

The code should be on a tear out card at the front of the manual which says tear out and keep in a safe place. When I bought my car the code was missing so I took it to VW and they fouind the code for me free of charge.
