Re: Reversing issue

I've only had it once in reverse and to be fair I did not see the knee high post in any mirrors (not my proudest moment). The auto brakes saved me a hefty bill! On the flip side, I've had it happen on multiple occasions in traffic crawling at 4 or so miles per hour. the parking sensors saw something...

Re: GTI (AW) REVO stage 1 Beta test review

Do you have the oil temperature readings on your dashboard when driving? I'd be interested to see what the temperatures are when driving normally, to see if the map has caused any changes here. Obviously they'll be hotter when you're demanding power, but I'd be interested to see the normal driving t...

Re: POLO GTI+ | Police Trouble

I bought my GTI when I was 22. I had similar experiences to yourself with police u-turns, pull-overs and rolling up next to me at traffic lights. The car itself doesn't seem to attract the attention. It's how the driver appears inside. Whether we like it or not, there's a stereotype that stands out ...

Re: Genuine Wireless Charger RetroFitted

I've now also added wireless charging to my Polo!

Its only been installed for a day or two, but I'm very happy with it.

Its a pretty simple installation, and I believe there's one more unit on sale through the link in Scotty_boy vw's previous reply.
Would highly recommend 🙂

Re: Anyone had forced GPF regens yet?

Just got back from my VW dealer as my 2019 Polo GTi+ 3k was running strange. Stop/start unavailable & he guessed at the filter doing a regen & he was correct. All ok now. I put super unleaded fuel in thinking dirty fuel/ not liking ordinary unleaded. Am I wasting my money on super unleaded?...

Re: Anyone had forced GPF regens yet?

Normal mpg restored for the wife's GTI+ - Very close to the mpg I would expect for my 2018 model with no PPF. on a 35 mile tun each way to Teesside (40mpg) and to the Metrocentre (35mpg) over the weekend. One thing I have noticed in driving the wife's car is that it runs a lot cooler than mine. My ...

Re: Scuffed Leather

Unfortunately haven't had any success with the shoe wax. Gave it 4 coats but it hasn't really changed anything. I'm a bit OCD when it comes to stuff like that so will go the replacement trim route. Managed to find some on AliExpress for around £14. Just need to find out if they fit! https://www.ali...

Re: Android auto wireless retrofit

Thanks for the quick response!

Also, does anyone know if the polo cuts power to these usb ports after ignition off ?

I'll want to leave this box in 24/7 wherever possible, so want to ensure I'm not draining power all the time.

Android auto wireless retrofit

Hi all, There's currently an Indiegogo project for a wireless android auto dongle. This will allow you to have your android phone wirelessly project to the car instead of tethered with a cable. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/aawireless#/updates/all I have backed this project and will keep you up...

Re: LED headlamp retrofit

To anyone who's installed these lights, how easy is it to remove / replace them? Long story short, I need to remove my factory led unit on the passenger side. I can see two screws holding it in place but it still feels solid. Is there something else I have to remove ? Sent from my SM-N9750 using Tap...

Re: It had to happen!

2 months into my ownership someone pulled out of a junction and caught my rear drivers side wheel and wheel arch. Very similar damage to yours, plus the wheel had to be re lacquered. For the paint, it had to be a respray, as it had gone through the colour. Only you can decide whether it's out of poc...

Im a big kid it heart lol. Always wanted these growing up after watching the fast and the furious IMG_20200813_154708.jpg IMG_20200813_154649.jpg I have to say, with the diffuser at the back I really like it. Is it plugged into ignition or light switches, or separate with a remote ? Sent from my SM...
