Though if you're using Tapatalk then you will see in-line ads from Tapatalk - the forum itself has no control over their placement though afaik - check the reviews for Taptalk and you'll see they seem to multiplying and becoming more intrusive.

Sad to see this seems to be normal procedure now. Definitely not blaming the live chat people, but it really doesn't help improve VW's image IMO if they have such long delays and don't keep customers updated.

If you managed to get the name of the vessel (presumably from VW live chat), you could use a site such as www.marinetraffic.com to search for it and find out where it currently is and where it's headed.

Just had an update from my dealer today to say my build week should be week 41 (not confirmed) so they're hoping to have the car by week 48 (end of November) - hope this is accurate but definitely happy as 4 months is at least shorter than the original 22 week estimate!

I was also dreaming of days where I wouldn't have to wake up a half hour early to go out in the freezing cold and scrape ice off my car... :cry:

In all honesty, the heated washer jets was the only reason I took the Winter pack... heated seats are cool and a bit of a luxury, but definitely not ...

Regarding the headlamp washers, if you ordered a car that had that on the brochure at the time, how would you stand if it arrived without them, would they just say that the spec has changed and there's nothing we can do about it?

I don't actually have an order form, though I suspect I should and might have to take it up with the dealer - I bought through Carwow and the only thing I've been asked for is the £500 deposit to secure the order.

Also didn't get a receipt or anything like that ...
