Re: surface corrosion in cavity under spare wheel well

I have some wax or something like that drips on bottom of front rails and it is light yellow this was little spots in brown colour (not found anywhere else on the car) around 2-4mm in diameter. I don't think it is mayor problem it will most probably take years to go through. I noticed in in spring 2...

surface corrosion in cavity under spare wheel well

just a little notice to anybody planning to keep his car. There is little cavity (about 50x4cm) under spare wheel well. Yesterday I had car lifted on stand and noticed a little bit of surface corrosion inside of this cavity. There are 3 holes and nothing is really blocking it. Iam gonna guess water ...

I was seriously considering one before I went with mine All cars had manual transmisio. That ST line with chip was almost on par with my GTI and ST was really quick. L...

I'd never have a Ford again after a disastrous Fiesta 2009-2012, but it's still nice.
That was ST ... damn that thing was fast and sound amazing :D

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

Just wheels. I’m on a number of different VAG forums and I’ve expressed my dislike of diamond cut alloys from a practicality and durability point of view on those forums many, many times 🙂. I’m not a big fan of the white worm corrosion look for my wheels. I bookmarked these either early this year o...

Re: Self Study Program 571 – The Polo 2018 (AW)

This is EA888v3 B It is not true GTI engine in term of taking it straight out of Golf GTI. Yeah the "B" is interesting. Especially when shopping for parts as lots of sites just list stuff for "EA888 GEN 3 MQB". And you have to be careful. Case in point, the EA888 GEN 3 inlet hos...

Re: Self Study Program 571 – The Polo 2018 (AW)

Yeah I'm no mechanic (fix PCs for a living :P) but found this interesting becuase it seems Audi (also VAG) use this engine in its natrual tune of 132kw/320nm in the new Q3 40 TFSI. On page 20 of the PDF however it says "Combustion process based on Miller cycle"... and after some Googling ...

Re: Carista

I don't know hot is it in Carista but as far as I remeber you need to change condition required for startstop activation. It should be done by raising minimal voltage of battery required for startstop (I believe it is set to something like 11,7V and people just set it to something they will never ac...
