Automatic Dimming Mirror

Hi,

I have a Polo 6C without a rainlight sensor and a manual mirror and I would like to replace it for an automatic dimming mirror without a rainlight sensor.

What part would I need and what cables? Or does someone/a store sell a set online?

Thanks in advance.

Just to say, thanks a lot for the info - really helpful!

I'll post back if I manage to fix it..

Cheers
I bet there will also be garages near your area that are able to remap your car.

Re: 1.0 110 TSI vs 1.2 110 TSI - which is best?

Small update - it's fantastic on the motorway - I don't miss my old 2.0 tdi in terms of power. But it's jerky when starting off in 1st gear. The revs seem to jump up too much initially which makes it hard to be smooth. I wonder if it can be fixed with a remap? Had the same with my 1.2 TSI. Chiptune...

Re: MY2015 Polo 6C EVAP error

This is a nuisance as that valve is used on many other VW Group cars over the years, but obviously on these other applications both pipes can be removed easily! When I checked that valve part number on a VW Group parts listing, Vw Polo 6C was not listed nor was Skoda Fabia MK3 or SEAT Ibiza 6J, I t...

Re: MY2015 Polo 6C EVAP error

I've now managed to read the part number on the factory fitted EVAP valve on my wife's late July build 5 door Polo 1.2TSI 110PS and it is a Valeo made valve and its part number is 06D 133 517B. Did you manage to get the hard unribbed plastic loose on the bottom? I can't manage to get even a millime...

Re: MY2015 Polo 6C EVAP error

I think that I've answered my own question now:- the 06D 133 517 B variant is normally made by Valeo and for most applications gets fitted with a rubber mounting sleeve to allow it to be clipped to a part of the engine area the 06E 906 517 A variant is normally made by Bosch and has the mounting de...

Re: MY2015 Polo 6C EVAP error

Because of your comment I bought a new EVAP valve (n80) ( part number: 06D 133 517 B for people having the same problem). This part is not really easy to get When I get the part I will replace it with the old one and hope the problem won't occur anymore. Maybe try to remember to check the part numb...

Re: MY2015 Polo 6C EVAP error

Yes, my wife’s 2015 has the same Valeo solenoid, sorry I got the exact location wrong though! So, it looks like the original EVAP valve has failed. Because of your comment I bought a new EVAP valve (n80) ( part number: 06D 133 517 B for people having the same problem). This part is not really easy ...
