Polo 9N extra cupholders
Hi Folks, I always seem to fight with the missus over the 1 cup holder in the Polo. The ones behind the handbrake are useless as too shallow and uncomfortable to reach for. We have a single din radio setup with the empty box underneath, like in this pic: https://i.imgur.com/bHCUpXw.jpg The door stor...

9n airbag light on. Suggestions?
Hi all, My airbag light is permanently on :( When I took the instrument panel out to fix a connection issue, I spotted a piece of black electrical tape over the light (cheeky). I would like to address the problem properly. Can you please advise where should I start? What to look at first? Is a VAG e...

Re: Front discs and pads
I was very lucky and just managed to be in time for eurocarparts weekend 37% off sale.
Bought all 4 discs, ventilated - Bosch and all pads also from Bosch, with a spray can of copper grease for £156.
Bank holiday Monday next week will be Brake Holiday Monday for me

Re: how to remove dashboard please ?
Remove carefully the steering wheel cover (leather one) which unclips together with the top part of the steering wheel cover. Be careful, the clips are not oo strong. Adjust the wheel to the maximum pulled in position. Unscrew the 2 screws that hold the instrument panel. Pull gently from underneath ...

Re: Time and Trip resetting once engine is off
I thought I would help someone else as I found the culprit. It was not a fuse or a battery problem. The instrument panel, once unscrewed from behind the leather cover on the top of the steering wheel, has 2 cable connections. One to the right (next to speedometer) which is a push-clip design and gre...

Time and Trip resetting once engine is off
Hi everyone, I'm in a bit of a pickle...could I pick your brains, please? (5 door, 1.4 2002 Polo) My dashboard instruments (Time, Trip, RPM hand, Temp Hand) seem to have some sort of an issue. They display information accurately when driving (gauges), but as soon as the engine is turned off with the...
