All 4 discs had rust on the edges when I picked it up, and it had only just been built! If you paint the drums properly, by this I mean rubbing down, cleaning, primer, and a couple of coats, I doubt the rust will appear for ages if ever. The worst that might happen if you don't do it right is that t...

All drums rust, best to give them a nice coat of paint, or spray them. A proper Brembo conversion costs upwards of £1500 not to mention how much it will cost for replacement discs and pads! Not sure about a normal conversion to a VW set-up. If you found a scrapped 9N with the rear discs, you could ...

Hi mate. Focus ST170 and Polo GT - two completely different types of car. I used to have an ST170 and after having a PD100 and driving a 130 and 150 TDI Golf I can say that if 0-60 is your thing the Focus will annihilate a lot of cars from a standing start. The Focus also has amazing handling. But f...

In the 1.9TDI (mine anyway) I could find not ANYWHERE to run the wire. I had to drill a new hole, only just missing the ABS unit on the passenger side. I put silicone around the hole.

So I would say don't drill into engine components, that's a pretty big downside

My dash got worse and worse, until I took the whole thing off and it was then unbearable after putting it back! Other than that my Polo was fine apart from my local dealer which I hope someone one day takes to the papers etc (the parts dept was fine) but car sales and service was disgustingly poor. ...

Diesel's are the way foward. :D

The Mercedes 320 CDi is evil. IMHO nothing compares.

Can't wait to finally see what the Polo GTI is going to have under the bonnet...

Yes, you can buy a lead to simply plug and play without any cutting of wires.

Most car audio shops/Halfords sell them.

Unfortunately, you will have to run wires all the way up to the interior light. I looked everywhere and tested all wires and got the lights to turn on, but when locking the doors, the bulbs would blow! Something to do with a negative trigger with the door wires. If they don’t fit the lights from t...
