To be fair I would look into the BMW way again if i were you.
A few things has disapointed me with the Polo GTI such as soud and MPG.
If you are looking for something fast, nimble and fun I would rather look for used 235is or 135is to be honest.

Re: Adding a Turbo
I don’t think it would be as simple as just bolting a turbocharger on to your engine. Worth having a read of this;

Considerations;
- Cost; likely to be prohibitively expensive.
- You’d invalidate your warranty for ...

Re: External Exhaust Sound
The modes doesn't effect the exhaust.
If you are in sport mode it does naturally take some more revs, which will make more exhaust sound.
But the same can be done in comfort if you floor it. If anything you've heard the Sound Aktor which does make artificial sound.

Chiptuning a leased GTI
Hi guys.
If i were to chip tune a leased Polo GTI from VW and then returning it back to fabric standards upon delivering the car back.
Would there be any issues? Can VW see that it has been modified before and do they ignore that fact if the car has been returned to the standard settings?

Re: Sport mode
I found the accelerator a bit "dead" for a sport mode, it certainly didn't get any more responsive. Is there an exhaust valve or is the increase in sound purely from the speaker? Either way more sound = more fun!
Sport mode doesn't make the response any faster, besides the fact that if you auto ...

Re: Ordered the new GTI+ what to expect
Just want to comment on this.
Here's a few things you can expect :cry:
Crap downshifting, especially 3 to 2. - I really don't feel that :)
Rattle from the handbrake. - None in my car
Squealling brakes when reversing. - Only when you're reversing right after engine start
When the engine's cold ...

It says that my phone is locked, but when i unlock nothing happens.

Polo boot
Hi.
When ever I'm driving the boot will automaticly lock. That is kind of annoying when transporting passengers that they can't open the boot? Is there anyway to fix it?
So far I've had to shut down the car and then push the unlock button on the key.

Even with the sportier suspension setting I don't think the suspension is too rough. It is a firm ride but that's how I like it personally.

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?
I find the hatch difficult to close at times, as if the lock doesnt engage correctly. Means I need to almost slam shut every time, meh.
I have the same issue on my 2018 GTI+, but not on our 2019 GTI+. The paint on the bottom edge of the tailgate is chipping in 2 places. Everything looks right ...
