Re: [Steering Problem] - VW POLO MRK 4
Hi your post is confusing :?: A Mk 4 would be 1994 - 99 you state it’s a 2007 polo thus making it a Mk 7 If this is correct then your 2007 polo does have PAS fluid , which can be accessed in the engine bay on the left side of the vehicle in front of the battery via a green screw cap to check the lev...

Re: Fitted a new speedo but car won’t start
I believe the new instrument cluster will need coding to the car for immobiliser and key remotes to work

The screw head rotates the barrel locking ring, seen in the OP picture in silver it’s like a C shape

Re: Intermittent rear wiper
I think possibly the timer relay has failed, so it’s too quick not allowing a full sweep of the screen. Although I can’t find a proper relay diagram online I’m sure there is a relay controlling it, it may be a separate item or integrated into the BCM , this you could call your local dealer about wor...

Re: 66 plate 1.4 tdi blue motion Stop Start
I totally agree with that , a new battery should have a good SOC but how long was it sitting on a shelf before it was sold?
Just a quick test could eliminate the battery as a issue

Re: 66 plate 1.4 tdi blue motion Stop Start
Battery voltage is different to SOC, you can have 12.5 volts but also have only 25% SOC get the battery properly tested
Yes you will need a tool of some kind to check what the s/s voltage threshold is set at

Re: 66 plate 1.4 tdi blue motion Stop Start
Can I assume this car was bought second hand ? Maybe the previous owner didn’t like the stop/start feature and coded it out , this would give the same message as you have with no other warning lights on.I would have thought changing a battery for one with a good state of charge ie 80% + would normal...
