Front hub nut torque setting

Does anyone have the correct torque setting for the front hub / driveshaft nuts on a 2007 9n3 1.4 16v bud engined polo ?
I know it’s not very tight maybe 70nm from memory?
Many thanks

Re: Sidelights not dimming (LED headlights)

There’s a simple solution to your problem I believe, code the DRL’s so they turn off with parking brake on

Re: VW POLO 9N3 Lower Arm Bushes

You dont need to change the arms or support brackets ,just the rear bushes only they are cheap to buy just the labour costs involved.

if your inclined you can buy a cheap tool to remove them and refit them look online for this

Re: Interior lights won’t go out!

The micro switch for the interior lights is located at the bottom of the door latch/catch mech within the doors, each door will have one.
its a total door strip down to replace them , you dont say if its a 3 or 5 door car

Re: Luk or sachs clutch 6R 2013

so if VW are telling you its a normal or single type flywheel they should know if you gave them the correct details. anyway once you remove the clutch you will tell straight away by looking at it (if your not a mechanic you've done well to get that far so google it :D )

Re: Luk or sachs clutch 6R 2013

Depending on mileage you may want to factor in a dual mass flywheel? This you won’t know until the gearbox and clutch have been removed and it’s condition accessed.

Just make yourself aware of additional costs before hand.

Re: Engine failure - diagnostic help request

Another thing this engine suffers from is burnt valves or damaged valve seats leading to a lack of compression.
As said without removing the head at least who can tell, if you have access to a borescope camera this may give you an answer

Re: Service intervals

VW dealers do indeed use the same long life oil on all services, all oils are the same irrespective of the type of service.
This makes sense as a dealer to only use / stock the higher spec oil as this is ordered in bulk and having multiple tanks is a cost and space problem.
