Re: Thinking of remapping my Polo.

I'm thinking of remapping my 2018 Polo It's a 1.0 TSI 95 BHP According to EliteRemaps the engine with a stage 1 remap will produce 130BHP and will have 240NM of torque Do you think the stock clutch will handle the increase in power or do i have to modify some things to get the best out of the remap...

Re: Polo 6R 2014 R Line - New Nav / Carista / Dash Cam

Had a DNX521 from Kenwood VW installed in my 6R R line 2014 for quite some time, got too slow and wanted something a bit newer with CarPlay and Android Auto. Purchased the DNX518DAB for around £900 ...A lot you may say but totally worth it. Nav and CarPlay run so smoothly and feels very OEM without...

Re: Fog Lights

Was wondering how do you go about changing the fog lights on a polo gti+ I'd assume they're the same as the standard polo. Look inside your wheel arch and you'll see a circular cutout which can be removed by rotating it. That will reveal the front fog lamp unit. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapata...

Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

Today I retro fitted the glovebox light which should have been there from factory.i have a halogen light in there just now but I have a genuine LED light on its way. 35C54209-FD88-49C0-94A9-9F4C1F4227D8.jpegCFF585BA-E3F6-4BD9-B221-53221730BAA0.jpeg Next MOD will be LED door warning lights. Re: What did you and your Polo do today?

All this talk of tyres tramping and stuff... Get a 95bhp one. The high gearing means the only wheelspin you'll experience is in snow..... Floor it in first in the wet, not even the chance of wheelspin.... Unless you have the amazing falken tyres on. Excellent in the dry, in the wet you may as...

Re: Front Assist?

I will probably get ill spirited comments for this, but here goes anyway. Having driven a Polo 6C with Front Assist for the past 20.000miles I've had it react maybe twice in that period. Now of cause there's a chance that it's become more sensitive in the newest gen. Polo. But I can't help but thin...

Re: Front Assist?

Had to suffer a yellow warning light all weekend "front radar vision compromised" or some such crap., Really doesn't much much in the way of snow to get this warning up at all.... Just some gentle sleet has it 'blocked' I'd rather this than even more unnecessary braking events. I've...

Re: New car advice

Picked mine up today. Really happy, it's such a nice little car :D Does everyone get a presentation box for their key, or did the sales man just think I'm pretty? (Didn't get any such treatment from the Renault dealer when I correct my previous car) Happy driving! I got a presentation box with a me...

Re: 1.6 TDI remap.

For £250, you can't argue – especially as the remap is done on a rolling road and not just some cheap plastic box with wires hanging out of it from eBay you plug in at home. www.celtictuning.co.uk Interestingly I just got a quote from celtic tuning for my 6c GTi. The price includes travel to my hom...

Re: Random question for people who have Kessy (keyless entry) on their Polo

TBH I am probably going to disable the keyless entry with OBDEleven, needing to remember to keep the keys in a Faraday pouch\box when in the house to stop the car being pinched will get old quickly, plus they don't auto lock when you walk away from them (like Renault's, Nissans and a few others), p...

Re: Parts to buy

I’m after some bits too but, just cosmetics, black VW badges for front and back. You could even take it to somewhere local that does vinyl wraps and they could simply wrap the badge. I’m having my wing mirror covers and the black piece of plastic at the bottom of the rear bumper wrapped in carbon f...

Re: New Polo SEL

As said above, the sub is located under the boot floor, however to the left therefore leaving space for a spare wheel.

It looks like a long rectangle with a plug going into it.
