The Polo's found in my dealer have continental tyres to most of them. When I took mine to ATS for tracking they said VW usually use Dunlop.

All I know is the Falkens performance in the wet is shocking.

The 16' alloys I have on my beats are Falkens. The rear lamps I believe are bulbs, they are only LED as standard on the R-Line and GTI? Not standard on the SE as said above, you only have auto lights. Note that they do not come on when it rains / wipers are used either. You have to do that manually. Admittedly I'm sure the Polo is no GTD Golf (also too highly geared in 5th/6th IMO!) I've used at work but I'm sure it will perform more than fine for my needs (and be noticeably nippier than my C-MAX). Depending on what engine your C-MAX has, I wouldn't bank on the Polo feeling nippier.... The 1.0...
