Re: Retrofit cruise (NOT ACC)

I should really check here more often! The buttons on the MFSW do light up yes, I don’t see no reason why you wouldn’t be able to fit a stalk and use that. Plus you’ll keep the mute button on the steering wheel, which I missed dearly when I got cruise 😂 And yeah VCDS will be able to code, relying on...

Re: Retrofit cruise (NOT ACC)

Hello! If you wish to go through a dealer, you cannot. I refused my first beats due to the dealer ensuring me it came with Cruise, a short journey home proved to me it did not! After a lengthy few months of discussions they finally admitted they cannot get one fitted and it was the salesperson mista...

Re: Fuel consumption data

Kind of related.. I had a 2018 Polo which behaved perfectly in relation to the various trips. I now have a 2020 Golf Match Edition and have a similar issue It's the 1.5 TSI EVO. When I refuel it resets, as it should. I also reset the small trip on the dash. Then usually after around 10-25 miles if I...

Re: EL Light Install Polo AW 2019

Never even thought I needed to do this, but definitely do!

Don’t suppose you could post some closer pictures how t out run the light and wires to make it look neat and tidy?

Thanks!

Re: Interior lights

With my non-keyless the interior lights come on when the keys are removed from the ignition. Not sure what the equivalent would be for keyless systems.

Re: Loud windscreen wipers

I've had this issue for the last year. 3 sets of wiper blades and still no fix. In my case it was due to a film of rubbish on the windscreen. I tried various polishes using a DA and still nothing... In the end I happend to have a chip which enlarged to a crack and a new windscreen solved this. [emoj...

Re: Coolant and oil levels

I've had to put just over a litre of oil in mine between pickup and first service.

Next service due in 500 miles and only down to half way on the dipstick.

Re: Knocking noise at 1000 RPM in neutral

There's quite a bit of knocking noise when my car is in neutral at 1000 RPM. Kinda sounds like a old diesel that's close to retirement. It goes away as soon as I raise it just a bit over 1000 RPM pushing on the throttle. Also it will go a second or two after I press the clutch paddle. I was at the ...

Re: Heat issue

My brain is now hurting. As I3rady has said, try with the a/c and if the car cools all is well and if not, then there’s a possible fault. Once more I’ll say, switch on the a/c if you want a cool car as there is no way you will reduce the temperature of the car by dragging in the air outside if the ...

Re: Android Auto update

I've just given it a try. Looks much better than the previous version, although the majority of apps it displays I won't use. Spotify looks much cleaner and the message notifications also look good as well. Only gripe with it is that Google Maps opens by default when plugging my phone in. Would rat...

Re: Central Armrest help needed

I want to install a central armrest in my 2018 SE, but have been told it will cost around £300 at my local VW garage. I see there are cheaper alternatives to consider but I don't feel inclined to start drilling holes, nor would I be so confident as to whether it would fit as well as an original one...
