They arent permanent, you can take them on and off within a minute. Think about it, would you rather spend £150++ getting the bonnet resprayed or use a bonnet bra and protect your paint fromt he worst of the stone chips? And the thinsg that stick up are weights to help it sit tight and keep it down ...

Check the seals on your lights on the driver side, water often leaks in from there and can damage the c/l pump. If there is any water int he compartment then disconnect the wires and remove the pump and put it in the airing cupboard for a day or so to remove any water. It should be fine after this ...

Thanks for the comments, im really pleased with the way they look. Although the last pic is my dodgy camera skills and not the camber on the rear, honest 8) The BBS's are 15", i was told they were originally off a g60 corrado, although im sure ive seen them on mk2 gtis too. Thought id take some pics of my new wheels whilst my car is looking pretty shiny too :-D Wheels will be getting a full refurb within the next month or so, just tryed them on to get an idea of how they look. I dont think they look bad at all ;-)

Ive got mk2 golf gti 256mm brakes on mine with 16v hubs. Im sure the calliper carriers and callipers were changed too when it was done. ive had mine lowered 40mm on springs initially and im now around 75-80mm lowered on coilovers. the ride was much harsher and bumpier on springs, and whilst its still hard and bumpy now, its not as bad and feels safer and sturdier (if thats a word and makes sense? :lol:) personally if you want to ...
