Tyres for 16" wheels on a 6n2 GTI
Hello all After Many years of other VW's and family commitments and needing a car (MK5 Jetta Sport 140ps/Jetta MK6 GT 150ps) for towing a trailer full of kart/kart racing gear & then/currently a 6c BlueGT 1.4TSI 150ps (all Lease/PCP cars - but still tracked them once year as I have always done s...

Re: Gti reappears on Configurator - manual G/box
Be shame if only a DSG 1.5TSI R-line only option appears & no manual. But then if that means trying to get too emissions type approval's then could understand why. Yes the price of it would push it close a base GTI Polo...but then do you lose a lot in base GTI to GTI+ (not worried about digital ...

Re: Gti reappears on Configurator - manual G/box
Going slightly off GTI subject
Does that mean a manual 1.5TSI "evo" 150ps R-line Polo might finally be available for 2019? rather the only 1.0TSI 115 (or 95ps) option before the nothing jump between in engines till the 200ps GTI?

Re: Best place to get Dunlop sp sportmaxx tyres for my 2015 BlueGT
I wouldn't go Dunlop sportmaxx as these are the very first generation Dunlop sportmaxx & outdated design, had these on my October 2014 BlueGT & found them downright dangerous in anything but dry with complete slide if lifting off - basically hard outdated compound tyres now. You need to go c...

Re: Polo AW Photo Gallery
Good to see wheel PCD's & centre bore's unchanged from older 6c's/6R's. I have a spare set of "replica" 17" GTI Golf MK7 Monza's that are Polo 6c fitment, which like to use if I ever could afford a new GTI Polo (funds will I suspect only ever stretch to a R-line 1.5TSI "Evo&q...

Re: Front tyre wear
The Uniroyal Rainsport 3's seem to be a mixed bag of good or bad results & depending on different drivers/cars. Think you could say I have covered all types of wear & tear with my driving on them (track day - umm well have a heavy right foot road driving, motorway & town driving) so far ...

Re: Front tyre wear
I run Uniroyal Rainsport 3 on my BlueGT (215/40 R17) all 4 corner's. Got back in February, currently on 6mm rear/5mm front with mix of all driving. Quite a bit of driving motorway/distance driving to & from mountain bike XC race's at regional races March/August & 2 track days a year at Castl...

Re: Help with scratches on new car!
Those plastic chrome strips probably only available by buying whole grill.
As it's been said it's plastic with very very thin chrome plating that's incredibly easy to scratch sadly.

Re: Anyone going to miss a 3-door option?
Andy Beats Think you summed up better than I did! I now as my partner has the primary family car with 5drs/etc the second car in the family - MY car choice which I only drive again (as I did when I had my 2001 Polo GTI & as now partner has main family car) which would love to be a GTI again (umm...

Re: VW POLO 1.2 TSI90 wheels upgrade to 17inch
I have a BlueGT - love my 17" alloys (215/40 tyres). I would do 17" straight bolt on fitment to any 6r/6C arross the range particularly if you can your hands on some second-hand genuine VW alloys (5x100 bolt pattern, forget what the centre bore is but would be identical to your current whe...

Re: Anyone going to miss a 3-door option?
Some very good points made guys. Agree cars getting bigger with no change in tight parking spaces made for cars size of yesteryear. Bigger cars now so 3dr's would make doors longer/heavier + maybe too awkward to teach seat belts. Not till I read the link that is a huge saving for VW dropping all 3dr...

Re: Anyone going to miss a 3-door option?
I have a October 2014 BlueGT (6c) 3dr which looked so much better than the 5dr, it's the second car of the family & partner normally has the big 5dr car. Really do think VW making a mistake deleting any future 3dr (excluding the 3dr UP! offerings) car in thier range (they could have at least kee...

Anyone going to miss a 3-door option?
I know VW said from the onset of the new 2018 Polo onwards having no 3dr option available (believe that is also going to be the case with the next new Golf too) & rest of VW group cars having all (I believe) hatchback 3dr options deleted + many other manufacturers deleting hatchback 3dr options ...

Thank you CHEBA for explaining that far better than I did!
Indeed re-designing engine halfway through it generation life would be far too expensive.
