Re: Finally sorted the AA Wireless cable issue

Just a reminder, music played via a wireless connection is severely compressed and significantly comprimises the sound quality. ‘Lossless’ quality audio will only work via a wired connection. Music over Android Auto bypasses the Beats equalizer settings they have set up (at least that's what my und...

Finally sorted the AA Wireless cable issue

I'm not here often, and when I am, I usually ask for help. Just want to take the opportunity to thank everyone here. You guys are amazing. Wanted to post something that isn't a question. I've purchased the AA Wireless adapter some time back. It's been sitting in the tray behind the shifter all this ...

Awesome, thank you!

Because the reading will be incorrect, I assume anyway.

Will replacing the battery result in error codes?

So I've got AW1 1.0 TSI 70kw/95h model. Car is now 5 years old. I've got a Topdon BT100 battery tester and I'm not able to test the state of the battery without removing the whole plus connection clamp/box since I can't see the battery specs to test it correctly. Will disconnecting the battery resul...

2018 AW1 1.0 TSI 95HP - which transmission fluid/oil to get?

Hi guys. It's been a while. My car is at around 72K Km and I'm thinking of getting the gearbox oil changed. Since mechanics tend to rip us off (in my country) when it comes to getting parts, I like to get them myself and then just pay for the work. I could use some help regarding which oil to get fo...

Re: I've stopped servicing my car at the authorized service center - here's why

The other manufacturers take the same stance. My mate has a 2019 Civic R-Type. It uses almost a litre of oil every 1000 miles. Honda won't do a thing unless it uses 1.5l every 1000 miles. I'd consider use of 1l of oil between services to be abnormal. Are we taking into consideration the type of oil...

Re: I've stopped servicing my car at the authorized service center - here's why

(oil change + first inspection at VW, they scraped bottom of my car near jacking point :x ) I feel that. The cabin air filter on my car was changed only once before and it was at the same VW service center. When I changed it to the MANN filter, I've noticed that one of the passenger side cabin notc...

I've stopped servicing my car at the authorized service center - here's why

Just wanted to share some experience I've had, this is not a post trying to convince people not to use an authorized VW service center. Also this was in Croatia, so could be different elsewhere (but I doubt it if VW specifies the oil used) In the last few years I've been servicing my car, as mention...

Re: Knocking noise at 1000 RPM in neutral

Any update on this issue? My manual does exactly the same. Not every single day but often enough to worry me. Nope. This is basically an ongoing issue that never got any worse or better. I've basically given up on trying to resolve it as the official VW service shop doesn't know exactly what it is....

Re: Knocking noise at 1000 RPM in neutral

Thanks everyone. Love this forum. Sorry I haven't been around to answer quicker as I was moving (to the UK no less). Totally miss my car too :( Didn't sell it, just left it there for the fam back in Croatia. As I mentioned before; the official service center wasn't of much help. They just offered to...

Interesting, for me it's a bit worse after I drive it for a while.

Knocking noise at 1000 RPM in neutral

There's quite a bit of knocking noise when my car is in neutral at 1000 RPM. Kinda sounds like a old diesel that's close to retirement. It goes away as soon as I raise it just a bit over 1000 RPM pushing on the throttle. Also it will go a second or two after I press the clutch paddle. I was at the o...

"Fixing" the stock wireless charging plate

Who ever design the wireless charging pad for the AW1 sucks at his job. It's super flat and the rubber doesn't hold the phone in place. Since the phone needs to be centered on the pad, every time I go into the corner the phone would stop charging. Maybe a bigger coil would resolve this issue but I'm...

Re: How to change the light bulb?

I hate this. They make it just that much more complicated so people who are not handy with this sort of stuff need to go to the dealer to replace it.

Thanks for the video, helps a ton!

Re: Things you should know before getting the Beats audio package.

Mind you I don't have the Beats model, just the audio package. I have a regular Highline model.

That's a shame that you can't get it outside of the Beats model. :(
