Cool thanks for the advice everyone.I found some MSW kings 5.5x13" ET38 they look really nice and i think would go down retro really well.They should be a straight swap?I shouldn't need to get the rear wheel arches rolled?

I think i want to go for a retro look.Heres my plan:-
Lower the car no more than 40mm.
Debadge the car.
When you say clear front and side repeaters,do you mean take them off? or put see through plastic repeaters on there instead of orange?
What do you mean by bump stripping?

Sorry i'm new to all this modding talk.But what does rolling the arches mean?Also do you know if you can get body kits to fit the mk2?

My mk2 polo

Hi people i'm new to this forum.I have a mk2 polo which is a 1986 i was unlucky and got a 4 speed gear box in mine.I have some questions for you all.But first some pictures of my car.
