Can somebody please please help. Bought a G reg polo cl for my daughter, with one problem! The car starts ok, and while the choke is on there isn't a problem. Can somebody please help? We have a 1990 G reg polo CL 1.3. It is fitted with a Pierburg 2E carb. The problem is that the car will run as long as you keep your foot on the accelerator, but as soon as you take it off, it dies. I have heard this is common, but no-one can tell me why it is doing it.
