Re: Clock and trip reset itself?
My Polo Gti+ reset the clock and driving data since I picked it up in 2020, I did reply to other people’s post a while back who had the same issue. There is a TPI for this problem that VW know about. The software update was applied to my car this time last year and the problem has never returned. If ...

Re: Fuel consumption data
There was TPI report from VW regarding this issue and a new software update applied to my car which has resolved it and has not happened again since We had a 7-5 golf before and had the same problem you describe, the solution we found was if you turn ignition off just leave the key in. We found if w...

Re: Coolant Level Low
Hiya, noticed from your photo that it says mit silakat on header tank, does that mean it contains the bag of silicone beads, (that is known to burst). I have a gti+ from Dec2019, which does Not have this bag, well no writing on tank anyway. Handy you are getting jip before the warranty expires and h...

Re: Polo GTI Issues(AW)
My polo gti+ has done this since I have had it ( nearly 2 years). The clock resets to 00:00, all the fuel consumption data deletes. Dealer supposedly updated the infotainment software but it still happens. I just put up with it now. It’s the only issue my car has. I suspect it is temperature related...

Re: Fuel consumption data
We don’t have nav in our gti+, just the standard info unit. The software installed must have bugs and something must happen in the car that causes it to reset. It doesn’t happen all the time, so it must need specific perimeters that sets it off. We had the car for 6 months before the first time and ...

Re: Fuel consumption data
Hiya, as mentioned in an earlier reply to your post, I had the exact same issue as yourself. All the consumption data and clock randomly reset for no reason. Took it to the dealership in September and they updated the infotainment software and this seemed to have worked, but alas it has reset again ...

Re: Auto door lock - disable?
Hi all, our polo gti+ locks the doors at about 10mph and stays locked till you either use the handle to open door or press the lock/unlock button on door. Our previous Golf allowed auto lock to be disabled via the menus but there is no option for this on the polo, at least not on our one. The manual...

Re: Fuel consumption data
I tried anything to try and stop the resetting, I was putting the stereo off before switching off engine, changed the 24hr clock to am/pm. Like you say, it’s was very random. Seemed to be when I unlocked and opened the door and the active display came on. The clock was then at 0.00, so no time had l...

Re: Fuel consumption data
Hiya, my polo gti+ 2019 model also does this. All the driving data deletes to zero and my clock goes back to 0.00. This happened 3 times in a week so booked it into my dealer. They had the car for a day and when I got it returned they told me they updated the infotainment software. I asked for a bit...

Re: Honest opinion - anyone else regret buying their GTI?
Had my gti+ nearly 6 months and 5000 miles and lovin every minute. It’s got everything I want and more power than I will ever need on the north east of Scotland’s pot holed ridden roads. It’s as comfortable as my previous golfs with 90% of the toys so I am happy. DSG great on long drives, not so goo...

Re: Auto Lights
Hiya, my 69 plate gti+ does NOT have this option to change the lights either, don’t know why as the manual says on models with sufficient equipment levels should have it, and the plus is top of the range. Also I find it strange that the doors don’t auto unlock when going into p or pressing the start...

Re: Missing screw, fire wall retaining clip & more
Regarding the carpet cut out behind the brake pedal, we have a round dark plug the size of a 50p coin where your gap is. I presume this just connects the carpet to the shell of car. Looks like yours is missing definitely. We had some electric cables in engine bay bound together with a perished elast...

Re: New Gti / Gti +
Hi everyone. Got gti + on Wednesday and are slowly getting used to the dsg gearbox, we are switching start/stop off as it is cutting engine before we are stopping. No big deal. There are no motorways where we live so will have to go further south to have a shot on them. Have had a few short runs abo...

Re: New Gti / Gti +
Thanks for quick reply, I have just ordered the wiper pack you mentioned, never seen the twin pack before. Just bought the individual packs of one wiper. live out in the sticks so choice is limited.
Saved myself a tenner doing so as well.

Re: New Gti / Gti +
Hi everyone Regarding fitting Bosch aerotwin wipers to the polo, I believe they use the same as the golf a26u driver side and a18 u for passenger. The golf needs a number 4 adapter to fit the stalk. Please if you could, verify if the polo needs the same adapter or does it fit straight onto the stalk...
