Re: Turn off Service Notification
I think it’s different on a GTI as I don’t have those buttons on the digital display. Try this video, which is for resetting the service reminder in an Arteon, but the digital instrument display is the same as the one in the AW (pre-facelift) Polo GTI+, and the comments below the video state that i...

Anybody running 225/40/18s on GTI
Hey
Is anybody running 225/40/18s on their GTI? Any issue with tyres rubbing on full lock?

Re: Genuine Wireless Charger RetroFitted
Android Auto Wireless is available too https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/aawireless#/ (or will be should I say)
Thanks for sharing this Scotty. I think I'm going to order the parts myself and the above AAWireless. Is the charging pad just plug and play or did you need to wire into the fuseboard?

Re: Economy mode
Yeh from what I can make out, it's still in ECO mode albeit just without the coasting/freewheeling feature active. Tbh I find it much smoother without that feature activated, surprised you find the opposite.

Re: Economy mode
It stays in ECO mode but the coasting feature (where the engine idles when you lift off the throttle) only works if you select ECO mode after you start the engine. If ECO mode is selected when you start the car, the coasting feature isn't enabled.

Re: Economy mode
This is by design and I guess a safety feature as the coasting feature of ECO mode could surprise someone who is not expecting it. It also wouldn't be a great mode to use in snow as it disengages drive to the wheels so I guess that's why you have to actively select it each time you turn on the car a...

Re: Retrofit cruise (NOT ACC)
Because it slows you down behind traffic which is fine, I'd much rather that, than having it ram into the car in front. Standard cruise control drove me mad, as I was constantly toggling it on and off and readjusting the speed to maintain a safe distance behind cars. With adaptive, it is set and fo...

Re: Quirks & Features
Was bored during lockdown and found myself reading the manual one evening so I wasn't staring at a screen. Discovered a handy feature with the adaptive cruise. You can use the RES button to hold the car stopped for longer without touching the brake. Scenario - Adaptive cruise is enabled and the car ...

Access to fuse box
How do I access the fuse box on a right hand drive Polo GTI. The manual says it's behind the glove box but I took the glove box out and it's not there. If I look up under the steering wheel I can see it but none of the panels want to come off? This video suggests you just pull the small panel off be...
