Re: Differential pressure sensor fault

An update - although the lights not on anymore, my fuel consumption has gone a lot worse after this stage 1 remap. I was previously getting 47 mpg locally however I am now getting 38mpg. I haven’t been driving it any different to how I was before. Could this be related to the P2453 fault i had after...

Re: Differential pressure sensor fault

I took it back to the tuner and he said he’s mapped it out now and the light should not come up. Am I going to have any potential problems if I actually did need to replace this sensor and he’s just mapped out the fault code?

Differential pressure sensor fault - HELP PLEASE?

My Polo 1.6 TDI’s engine light came up yesterday and after checking it on a cheap diagnostic machine, it’s shown the differential pressure sensor fault. My car has had a DPF delete and I also got it remapped yesterday so is it possible that the DPF has not been mapped out of the ECU properly? Or is ...

Re: Car gone into limp mode after glow plug light.

Hi thanks for all the replies, after getting it checked out it was the turbo actuator which caused it to go into limp mode. After replacing it, it’s as good as new.

Re: Car gone into limp mode after glow plug light.

I’ve had a DPF delete and EGR blanked so I don’t think it could be them. If the turbo is blown, would it be normal for it to drive fine until i go 70mph which would then cause it to go in limp mode? Would using a VCDS machine show the issue because theres currently no light on the dash.

Car gone into limp mode after glow plug light.

I was driving my Polo 1.6 TDI on the motorway, where the glow plug light came on and my car lost all its power. I turned it off on the hard shoulder and turned it back on and it was normal for a mile of 70mph but then it went into limp mode as i cant get above 2K RPM. Any ideas what could be the pro...

Lights on dash

I haven't had this car for long but this spanner light and '116' with a weird shape now comes up for 5 secs when i start the car. What does this mean because this never happened before. I have attached an image of the dash.

Re: Headlights always on

I've checked and the rear lights are on as well while dipped headlights are used as DRL. Can anyone else confirm that this is normal?

Headlights always on

My Polo 6r 1.6 tdi 2010 always has its dipped headlights on all the time. I went to buy a bulb and the shop owner stated that only the sidelights should be on as day lights. My car has no difference whether the light switch is 0 or on dipped headlights, is this normal?

1.6 TDI stage 2 remap?

Anyone got a stage 2 remap on their Polo 1.6 TDI? What figures has your car managed and did you need to change anything (clutch etc)?

Checking turbo seal leak

I recently got my Polo 1.6 TDI 75bhp remapped and dpf delete. After getting it dyno'd it was only pushing 105bhp rather than 140 and the tuner has said this is due to the turbo seal leaking. What would be the best way to confirm whether the turbo seal is leaking or there is just a bad map on the car...

Polo 6r 1.6 TDI alloys.

I've currently got the stock 15inch alloys but they're in pretty bad condition due to the last owner. I know everyone has different preferences but could anyone recommend any decent alloys? Also would 17" fit or would they be too big?

Can you send a link of which one you've found. I need the exact same part for my car too.
