Re: Headlamp alignment
When I bought the car earlier this year and it had LED dipped beam bulbs fitted, which were useless. I replaced them with halogen bulbs but noticed that the beams were very high and clearly not aligned properly. I then adjusted them down till they looked ok (thinking I'd have them professionally do...

Re: VW polo 9N E aftermarket radio
Hi new poster to the forum. I read a thread on fitting an aftermarket radio into a polo 9n and the thread died (roughly 2-3 years old) and it was for fitting a 1 DIN radio. I want to fit an Alpine ilx-700 which I believe to be a 2 DIN head unit and 2 after market speakers and possibly tweeters (I c...

Re: Sub wiring from battery to cabin
Keep me posted on how it goes. Still haven’t found the time to do mine. Completed today. See here for pictures of the wiring. If you need any more, let me now. https://symnz.com/media/vw_polo/Amp_Wiring PIcture 1- This is the second grommet. This pulled out by scraping with a screwdriver. Not ideal...

Re: Sub wiring from battery to cabin
Ok thanks. I will take a look on the weekend Any luck? Instead of talking s**t, I gave it a go... honestly, I commend those that have done it. What a pain in the ass I didn't realise there were two grommets to get through. Got the second off with a screwdriver, couldn't cut it. Going to see how it ...

Re: Sub wiring from battery to cabin
Yeah I’ve noticed that one but can’t seem to find where it enters the cabin from the bulkhead. Any thoughts? Behind the glovebox. Complete removal iirc. You have to lift the carpet a little I think. There is a thread on here somewhere... edit: If you look in the engine bay, on the driver's side nea...

Still haven’t had any luck with it. I’ll take a look for that grommet when I get 5.
Thanks
The one he is talking about (I think) is the bonnet opening cable hole. They are on both sides, only one is used, hence the need to cut it. (just the tip)

Re: New headunit? A bit confused...
The adapter I'm feeling fine with, gonna use a crimp to put them together, so no problem there. Final question though, just curious about what you mean with a short from the fuse bit? I know that the fuse taps have to be put in a certain way around, so I'm assuming that's what you mean? I think I m...

Re: New headunit? A bit confused...
Amazing, thanks a tonne for that. Now feeling far more confident in getting it all hooked up! Honestly, it's a piece of cake! Just don't plug the fuse bit in first... you may cause a short. I can't show the other end yet. Let me know if you need it but the adapter for the radio has a red lead that ...

Re: European Polo 2007 Radio Upgrade
f**k me, get a cheaper fuse tap ya nutter. £8? You kidding me on? plastic, solder and no fuse? I paid £4 for 3 iirc. Yes, you'll need one for an ignition live. Easy to do, I used the wiper port and run under the dash. Removal keys can be got on ebay for £1.99 I think "Single or Double Din Car S...
