Re: What do you do with the seats?

Polo Comfortline That explains it. You propably had a testdrive in a highline version, which has better, more comfy seats. This was one of the main reasons why I ordered highline. I had a testdrive in a highline and afterwards I wanted to check out infotainment. They had comfortline on show at the ...

Re: Servicing interval

The standard longlife intervals are ridiculous. I changed oil at 1600 km (1000 miles) just after the breaking-in period and I will change it again at 15 000 km (~10 000 miles). The first service according to the service display would be at 30 000 km (18 600 mi) – way, way too late.

Re: What MPG are owners getting in the real world?

I hit 4500 km mark with my 1.0 TSI 95 PS manual and so far: On a highway: 120 km/h (75 mph) 4,8-4,9 l/ 100 km (48-49 MPG) Some lesser intercity roads: 90 km/h (56 mph) 4,0-4,2 l/ 100km (56-59 MPG) heavy traffic: 9-10 l/ 100 km (23-26 MPG) Overall, consumption is awesome as long as I avoid heavy traf...

Re: New Polo SE 95 - problems

It's the handbrake button. I had mine replaced, but it didn't fix the problem. It's less annoying now though. Previously it would rattle even on a perfect surface, just because of low RPM! It's such a common problem, VW really must have recognized it already. It's not safety related though, so I don...

There's no tracking app outside UK. Everyone else must contact dealerships to get info on their orders.

Re: 2019 lead times

Aren't all left hand drive Polo's still made in Spain? If so I think that will make comparing with the wait times for right hand drive cars from South Africa pointless. Not anymore. Apparently after summer break of 2018, Polo is made only in SA. As for OPs question, I ordered mine mid September, co...

Re: New GTI + delivery

Couple of weeks between UK arrival and delivery? What, do they push the car on wheels from port of arrival to a dealership? It took 3 days for my car to arrive at the dealership after it arrived in Poland, less than 2 weeks from arrival at the Port of Emden to me driving it out through the gate.

Re: New GTI + delivery

Or does the car get off at Emden and put onto another ship? The usual route is from Port Elizabeth to Emden via Vigo and some port in Belgium or Netherlands. Emden is the main European VW port, every Ro/Ro ship from factory gets here before cars are sent elsewhere in Europe. Your car got on a diffe...

Re: Front Assist?

Front Assist beeps on me sometimes, especially in traffic when someone changes lane to mine. It never braked for me, I have default settings. I don't have any issues with it and even though I've never been in a situation when I'd need such assistance, I'd rather have it.

Re: Anyone else got these issues with their Polo?

Yeah it took me a while to find source of the rattle. I'm relieved it's that button, not something on the dash, it seems like an easier fix.

Re: Anyone else got these issues with their Polo?

Overall, the car is great. I have only one minor problem with it. Handbrake button is kind of loose and it makes noise while driving.

Re: What would you change about your Polo?

Now I would definitely go for 17" Pamplona Dark alloys. They would look awesome with energetic orange. I'd never thought I would even care about alloys size but now that I have the car and all the time to look at it, I changed my mind. I went with standard 15" and I regret it. Now it's my ...
