Re: Speed
From my experience leaving the car in normal mode makes for smoother driving and never had a "jerky" DSG issue. I also like to use the engine to brake the car and guess it comes down to different driving styles? The car is jerky, when you come to a stop, you can feel the engine braking an...

Re: GTI ride firmness procrastination
Just saying that there are no issues with 225 vs 215 (clearances etc) so anyone changing has no good reason to stick with 215 for replacement and suffer the much higher cost...but didn't want to get that wordy. Again, no argument there. But it was suggested changing to 225 will improve ride q...

Re: Lowering springs
I got the pro-kit on the Polo GTI, I cannot comment on how the Sportline is too drive but the Pro-kit on the GTI is abit firmer but it looks awesome. I have wheel spacers too, that is a must! On the normal Polo it should be great! Mine looks very close to having coilovers on! FYI The Pro-kit is a li...

Re: GTI ride firmness procrastination
Hi, I would go with the 17inch wheels and tyre option on the Polo GTI.Deflated to your tyre pressure levels will absorb bumps well.Upgrading from 215/45r17 to 225/45r17 will add more rubber. Most of the GTI users have gone from 215/40r18 to 225/40r18 as the extra rubber makes the ride quality better...

Re: Long Term Ownership.
I have an early produced GTI (DSG) and while the car is fun to drive the amounts of issues I’ve had with it has had me seriously doubt whether I’d get another VW again. DSGs jerkiness at stop&go traffic. Moo’ing brakes on reverse Sound actor rattles Unknown rattle from rear compartment GPF rege...

Re: Polo GTI Issues(AW)
Hi
Headlights are adjusted on VW diagnostic Computer. which adjust the beams and beam throw and start up etc . Dont adjust the screws with a screwdriver, you could break the headlight LED motor. 15mins at the dealership and you are off.

Re: Polo GTI Issues(AW)
Hi,
Did they put your car on a 4D wheel alignment system?
Not all dealerships have this as it is quite costly.
The handbrake noise, small amount of white silicone grease fixes the issue.

Re: Standard Bridgestones / wet driving
Would VW knowingly fit dangerous or sub standard tyres to the Polo? If they are passed as fit for use BS standard then it may be down to individual preference. Not sure if there are any tyres that allow you to use full throttle in any situation without the car feeling unstable. Substandard is a mat...
