It won’t unlock the car only lock the car you still need to put your hand on the handle or use your fob to open. It’s like it you sit in the car with your fob in your pocket and start the car and then open the door and walk away it will bring a message up on the screen loss of signal with fob

Going into car settings and look for opening and locking. There is a setting for automatic locking turn that on and soon as your fob is out of range your car will lock ok.

But does that include a DSG update as when you increase the torque over 400nm the software in the gearbox will try and cut the power so you need a update as well

Don’t forget as your pads bed in they start to glaze and you get a harmonic sound in the wet. For instance this happens with disc brakes on mtb bikes in the wet as well they howl if you change to a softer compound of pad it stops it happening

I think it’s down to the compound of the pads if they are a hard compound you are always going to get a noise plus most German car makers use hard compounds in there brake pads plus they cause excessive brake dust as well.
