Dropped down to VW. Service department gone for the day, back on Monday.

Very helpful guy on the desk sent an email to the service dept for me so at least they have a record of the issue.

we'll see what they say on Monday.

My polo is 4 weeks old and only one issue so far - the drivers side air vent was faulty.

Took it in yesterday to be fixed and it was.

However there is some minor damage (no mentioned by them) and only noticed by me on the drive home.

Scratch on the grey bezel around the dials:

Only had my Polo for a few weeks and no sign of front assist engaging until today. Had the little distance ! Exclamation icon pop up a few times but nothing else.

The stereo in this generation is truly awful! The sound is appalling.


If you have the Composition Media with 6 speakers, the following settings made a major change in the demo vehicle I tested.

Fader -5 to rear

Bass -4
Mids -1
Treble -1

Not a particularly good job done by the dealer's Valeter (even though they had a second attempt after I pointed out a few bits they'd missed).

Just Got my new Polo and the valeting was pretty p*** poor! Got them to re-do it but there are still areas with the residue from the covering!

What's the best way to remove it?

Mine doesn't have one and after listening to everyone I think I'll pass!

Just realised why they seemed to be in no hurry to register my car - it's the 1st of March today so it'll get a new 19 plate!

As it's a Contract hire lease car I assume that will affect the residual value positively - so it makes sense for them to wait. May even be a stipulation from VWFS ...
