Re: What happens at 10mph?
I get the impression that the 3 cylinder engine is not really suited to the DSG.

Re: What happens at 10mph?
On my Polo (DSG) when starting from cold I get a slight vibration when pulling away from stand still. (Feels like the gear is in a too high gear for the speed) Its done it from new.

Re: DSG Service schedule
I think the GTI have got the wet clutch. But rest of the Polos with the 1.0 engine got the dry clutch.MikeDO wrote: ↑Tue Jan 17, 2023 10:35 pm Isn't the DQ200 (which had numerous issues) the dry clutch box? I'm pretty sure the new Polo GTI has a wet clutch!

Re: DSG Service schedule
From my own research it’s a sealed unit with separate oil for the mechatronics and the gearbox itself. The mechatronics is sealed and the gearbox oil ‘can’ be changed but isn’t absolutely required. Unfortunately the unit will wear and eventually the clutch will need replacement and it will cost a f...

DSG Service schedule
What's the service schedule for the 7 speed (dry clutch) DSG. VW says it does not need servicing at all for life of the gearbox and you read online its every 40k miles. I intend to keep the car for a few years so I want keep everything healthy. And do anyone know a VW specialist in the Birmingham ar...

I tend to keep to 60MPH. I’m really impressed with mine.Harrihealey02 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 12, 2022 8:13 am Steve, what speed do you usually do on the motorway for your commute? I’m getting the 115 DSG and was curious about economy.

Re: Clock and trip reset itself?
It is doing it more often now so I will be calling the local dealer to see if they can provide a software update. Not sure if I will be charged for this though, I expect so. It’s a known problem as there’s a TPI (Technical Product Information) update to rectify it; see Alan_p71’s post - bottom of p...

Re: Fuel economy
I average 58MPG to a tank. I do mainly motorway driving for my work commute. That's 47 miles round trip. Even though it has drop off a bit now it's gone cold.

I've booked our Polo in to the nearest VW dealer in December for it's 1st MOT plus an "Annual Service". The dash currently displays the usual confusing double message - "Inspection in 15400 mi or 46 days" + "Oil change service in 4700 mi or 46 days" When will they lear...
