Re: Door Locks & Auto Locking/Unlock
Now that my car is built and in transit I have an AW Polo VIN to stick in to OBDEleven and there is an option in it to disable this function, plus many other things, maybe worth you purchasing it OP.
Yeah. I'm looking into OBDEleven. It just becomes expensive as we're an Apple ...

Re: Door Locks & Auto Locking/Unlock
Under 'car' then 'settings'
There's the choice to locks all doors, driver's door etc.
Then there's autolock.
Then there's 'interior monitoring', which can be switched off to allow you to move around in the car and not set the alarm off.
That seems to be your lot.
So does that mean there is no ...

Re: Door Locks & Auto Locking/Unlock
I could be wrong, but I am sure that in the settings of the car, there is an option of auto lock when you enter the vehicle, this may be help your needs.
I thought the same and the only option I can find is selecting which doors it locks/unlocks on pressing the fob. You can set it to one press ...

Door Locks & Auto Locking/Unlock
Just a question about the auto-locking in the Polo.
My usual routine in my Golf was to unlock the car, get in, lock the doors manually and then start the car up and drive away. When I get where I'm going I turn the car off. The doors never used to unlock themselves until you opened a door from the ...

Spent this evening coating the glass on the wife's Polo with Gyeon Q2 View. No photos.
Also checked out the engine bay. The tiny little 3cly unit is quite comical with all that empty space.

Re: What MPG are owners getting in the real world?
So the wife has had hers for 1 week and has done 150 miles so I jumped in it yesterday to check the consumption.
Her short commute works out at about 10 miles daily through moderate London traffic and the car is averaging 32MPG. On the run back from the dealer she managed to get 48MPG.

Re: How to remove sticky residue on new car?
You're not supposed to dilute Tardis. It's best used neat.
Even if you did dilute it, Tardis is oil based so would separate from the water and sit on top.
Really?
Prior to buying it, every detailing website I saw said to dilute it.
It smells to high heaven, I'd worry about using it neat in ...

But I don't think anyone has mentioned diluting it.
You've got to dilute it, it's powerful stuff!

Autosmart Tardis. You can get it on eBay Stick it in a sprayer and then spray the residue on a cloth and wipe off gently.
Literally just collected ours and it's exactly the same round the door handles and C pillars..

Re: New Polo R-Line
I ordered my car just under 2 weeks ago and I wasn't asked to sign a waiver and no mention was made of potential price increases due to Brexit.
I was. My vehicle list price would remain the same but I'd be liable for any charges on top of the invoice cost. So the standard April 1st price rise ...

Which dealership did you order through? I've got mine on order with VW Stockport and they aren't helpful at all.
Southport which are joined with Wigan, yeah they're useless. It has moved to 19 now, so with 8wk delivery, I'm predicting delivery week beginning 8th of July for pickup ...
