Re: Low coolant 1.2 TSI
That is okay as it is really "damage caused by an external event" - but VW Group should try to protect these items from stone damage. An engine guard (which VW fits in Polos sold in many countries) would have prevented the damage, but VW India only provides it as an insanely priced access...

Re: Low coolant 1.2 TSI
Thanks for the reply, car is due a service in the next month so I’ll point the garage to it when it’ll be there. Warranty is up until February 2020 so it’ll be before that. My car was (and still is) under warranty. The reason my warranty claim for the intercooler was rejected was because it was cau...

Re: Low coolant 1.2 TSI
I have noticed a few weeks ago that the coolant in the coolant reservoir was sitting below minimum. So I went to the local vw shop and got it inspected. They said there were no visible leaks (looks clean underneath) and that everything’s fine. They topped up the coolant to above max, but today I no...

Re: iichels Polo 6R 1.2TDI Bluemotion --> OEM++ R-Line conversion
To all who have the gas strut for lifting the bonnet: The body shop suggested that the bonnet might have bended slightly due to the use of the gas strut. I was somewhat lucky to have it replaced after the accident, it was indeed damaged by the front collision. So have a look at whether this also th...

Re: My Polo 1.2 TSI DSG
There is no problem with the voltage when installing LED lights (12-14v). In fact it is better to install LED lights inside. The necessary wiring depends on the model of the LED lamp you install, there is no specific wiring for the 6R, you must manufacture it or modify the one you bought. It is not...

Re: Halogen DRL in Polo 6R
Yes but yours is a 6c and not a 6r. These are not comparable in terms of their electrics. Apologies for the confusion. My car is a facelifted 6R sold in India. The 6C was introduced a little later (with features like auto-dimming IRVM, auto-folding ORVMS, etc.) in the same year. So I think I should...

Re: Halogen DRL in Polo 6R
Excellent, good job! OEM installation! The best kind of installation. Hi Michel, Apologies for bumping up this old thread. I wish to execute this mod in my Polo 6C (2015) with stock BCM, and wanted to know if running DRLs through the fuse box will require any additional VCDS coding. Since this is a...
